Greetings fellow leaders.
Many of you have been wisely leading your nations for many years. Many more, I among them, are mere tiddlers.
Reflecting on the reactions I received from one region, when I contacted Sovereign Nations there to communicate an invitation to join the newly created region of Eireann, a liberal and democratic alliance founded on the principle of "LIBERTY through DIVERSITY" and specifically targetting only nations with a clear link to Ireland or Irishness,
Reflecting on the advice I have received since
Bearing in mind that even the official references (I have still to see an oficial text) indicate that the rules are not set in stone,
I think it is time to open a debate on the merit of a proposal that would allow targeted communications; that is to say, where a region could justifiably aruge that the nation contacted might have an interest in joining the region. This could be a similar governance, similar expressed interests, or as in Eireann's case, key words in the nations name.
The alternative, is to force new regions to take in great part only inexperienced players, creating a democratic divide between long standing regions with experienced players who understand the ins and outs of the game and smaller weaker regions where experience is lacking. New players can be expected to come up with interesting themes or philosophies with with to guide regions, but if they are barred from inviting more experienced nations from joining, the regions progress may be impossible.
Are there any White Knights out there who could propose this change for a World Council vote? I dont have the power to propose...
thank you for your time...
Solas (the rarely omnipotent)
