The Nuclear Test ban proposal got me thinking. Here is another thought I am having trouble getting out and I am not sure of the legalities of it. Looking for suggestions, advice, assistance, etc.

 The sale of fully functional nuclear weapons to be illegal
 The sale of technology that can assist in the development of nuclear weapons to be illegal
 The sale on components necessary to the development of nuclear weapons to be illegal

No, that proposal would be illegal. It would entail removing the uranium industry from any nation that is in the WA......

What if it concentrated on the sale of fully funtional weapons?

This would effectively mean an eventual end to nuclear warfare if a Nation cannot procure such weapons, this whilst we would be in support can see no future in this proposal due to a lack of overall support.

What if it reads Nations cannot sell nuclear weapons to non-WA Nations?

This would limit other industries besides just the uranium mining industry. Think of the equipment that is used for high quality optical lense manufacture. You do realize those same machines are used in the production of uranium and plutonium spheres where extreme tolerances are required? This is another attempt at closing the nuclear club to those already present. The HRC cannot and will not support this measure.

Unfortunatelly, we believe that this proposal has no political strengh since several nations among WA members are advocates from nuclear weapons.
We should really support dimishing the use, commerce and testing nuclear weapons in our world, but we will only achieve this goal with stronger arguments.
