The Role of the World Assembly in Roleplaying

I was wondering, is it possible for a member nation of the World Assembly to take action with the support of the actual World Assembly in the event of an atrocity or a major breach of international law ICly? And is it possible for the actual World Assembly to issue an official statement of support in such an event? Or is does the WA act OOCly only?

You can roleplay as if the World Assembly exists, but the other roleplay communities (II, NS, etc.) on NationStates have agreed that any roleplay involving in the World Assembly is non-canon. You would need to find people that agree to be bound by the World Assembly's laws.

We won't, however, issue any kind of official statement on wars or other atrocities. At least, that's not the General Assembly's purpose -- we write laws that affect all nations, not just single nations. The Security Council dabbles in that, but you'll hit a roadblock for reasons that don't need to be brought over into this forum.

I'm not sure what you mean by the World Assembly acting 'OOCly'. We (the General Assembly, at least) are an IC environment. Our world just doesn't connect and mesh with the other roleplaying worlds.

I stay in the WA for my RP so that occasionally I can have my legislature ( played by the WA) come up with ideas for laws I have not thought of and my nation can have more of an organic feel to it rather than just be exclusively my ideas and choices in the answers to issues.

In my main RP there is no WA. and my RP in the WA is a separate RP on a different storyline when I occasionally visit the strangers bar.
