Draft - The Bismuth Articles

Postby Eraplevok » Wed Jul 07, 2010 12:37 pm

Tell me what you think:

General Assembly
Social Justice

This proposal is for the equal distribution of Bismuth to those less fortunate.

Understands the those who work for their bismuth earn their bismuth

Concerned about the grand amount of individuals who fail to recognize what bismuth is

Concerned that those individuals that do not earn their bismuth don't have any

Concerned about the grand amount of individuals who have no bismuth in any shape or form

Hereby establishes the BEST committee (Bismuth Education and Sharing Team). This committee's purpose is to educate those about the dangers and benefits of Bismuth. The committe also encourages those with a fair amount of bismuth to share with others. Should those individuals not share, they will be tried and prosecuted in the ICC of resolution #102 for cruel treatment towards those without the grand benefits of Bismuth.

This article assures the members of the WA that the intent of this proposal is the fair and equal treatment of people in regards to bismuth whether they have earned it or not, let alone know what it is or not.

This piece of legislation shall not infringe on future proposals relating to bismuth.

*Looks across to home affairs adviser and says* . . . dear sir what is this Bismuth that the the Ambassador speaks off, pull out the files and see if we have any, and if not find out if we need some.

We shall have to have a full review on the situation and report back to the esteemed delegation.

I don't know about Bismuth, but Barium makes me feel possessive.

We find the scope to be a bit too narrow for our comfort. Should we also have a seperate resolution for each of the other 117 elements on the periodic table as well?

Resolutions about noble gases might be seen as too aristocratic.

That is actually the nickname given to Lord Kanifaille, back home in Grays Harbor. He is quite lactose intolerent yet has this unfortunate love of cheeses.

*stands up* I...I...I will not even dignify this proposal with a ranting speech. *sits back down*

*sends a mass text message to all delegates* This is ridiculous.
Sincerely,
Alexandra Kerrigan, Ambassador to the World Assembly from the Republic of Quadrimmina.

We would like to enquire as to the claimed importance of Bismuth, we shall require detailed examples of why this element has been singled out and why it should earn it's own bureaucratic body to equally distribute it across Nations before we can lend our support.

The element itself may not be. The proposal, on the other hand, certainly is.

What splendid proposal is to be next from your delegation? Mandatory clown makeup wednesdays?

So the Ambassador wishes this Nation to support a proposal without knowing what it is voting for . . . *leans over to home affairs advisor and says* . . . are they serious? this is a most unsatisfactory way of formulating legislation . . . we need answers now and not afterwards!

A vague definition of Bismuth can be included in the proposal if you wish good sir, but thats all I can do.

Your Excellency, clearly the ambassador from Eraplevok wants the World Assembly to fund his Bismuthamphetamines addiction.

Yours,

I appreciate the intentions of the draft, but overall I cannot see how the Bismuth metal meets the criteria for notability in the WA. It is also not the only metal with significant value.

We are amazed that the same answer which was expressed to this Nation has been quickly repeated to our esteemed colleagues from Charlotte Ryberg, we are appalled at such a lack of co operative debate from the delegation, with such an attitude shall bring with it defeat, that is for certain.
