The Federation of Levadonia also would like to state that if there will be any restrictions on filmmakers, writers, or content providers, this act will be voted against.

There are no restrictions on any of those parties, it actually gives them the ability to tailor their work to the rating involved.

Also, we feel the definition of "media" offers sufficient insight:
DEFINES media for the purpose of this resolution as all audiovisual programs that are created with the intent to be distributed for mass viewership, including but not limited to motion pictures, television shows, music, and video games.

The Federation of Levadonia feels that modern communications create a difficulty with this definition, as the youth typically post media in publicly accessible locations. The federation request that it be limited to individuals seeking commercial gain, and not to individual citizens.

The Republic of Quadrimmina would like to point out that the optional nature of this resolution makes it such that even if the language was kept as it is, it wouldnt affect such media. Unless the nation so chose for it to. To restrict that definition would be to restrict a nation's access to the WARB.
Sincerely,
Alexandra Kerrigan, Ambassador to the World Assembly from the Republic of Quadrimmina.

[SUBMITTED] Media Content Rating Act

The Federation reacts its malevolence towards this resolution and will vote yes, if said resolution is kept in current form.

Honored Ambassadors, The Protectorate of Penguton is unconcerned with ratings systems as a whole. In fact, we recently enacted legislation to revoke an old Pengutonian law forbidding certain media content during the day. It is our opinion that any media created for any reason is to be considered Art, and therefore not subject to restrictions based on draconian ethical bonds.

While I understand that this act is not compulsory. It is in fact an unneeded, excess that will only muck-up the already slow and extensive Bureaucracy of this World Assembly. So with all due respect to the honored Ambassador of Quadrimmina, The Protectorate of Penguton will not support this legislation.

From skim-reading this Act and all its clauses, I had come to understand that this act would be compulsory, Honoured ambassador from the Protectorate of Penguton. I must also add that this act is very well needed, otherwise the international media market will be swamped with profane media which may be viewed by children, which is considered a tragedy of modern society. If this act is enacted, such an tragedy of modern society will never be able to flourish.

Yours, with honour

Felix Quafflington (LLB) Criminal and international law
High Commissioner from the Federation of Bellimboss to the World Assembly

My dear Ambassador from Bellimboss, surely you can see that the wording of this bill would indicate that no media HAS to be submitted, but that producers are "urged" too. Also, I think it the parents responsibility to determine wither something is right for their child's eyes or not. We shouldn't waste money and time on something that isn't actually needed.

I have sent notice to Minister of Foreign Affairs Madison Lewis that our proposal has been withdrawn. Our friends in the WA have spoken. We look forward to working with you all in further legislation, and thank you to all the supporters of this legislation. We hope nations will adopt the standards of this proposal's rating system for incorporation into their own nations. Thank you all for your time.
Sincerely,
Alexandra Kerrigan, Ambassador to the World Assembly from the Republic of Quadrimmina.
