BANG!
ARI: Helen. Ummm. Ours was louder.
AHUME: Yes, but hers looks edible. (He sniffs the results, sticks in a finger, and dabs some on his tongue.) Or not.
ARI: So, Miss Trevanyika, what's going on?

ARI: One? Are you sure you haven't lost count somewhere?

"The main guy there is Neville, the other staff changes so often it's hard to keep track of their names, though I think there's a Jimmy that's been working here a while." Steph looks around, craning her neck to try to pick the guy out, then gives up after a few seconds, and shrugs. She picks up a menu, flips to the back where there happens to be an information and "History of the Strangers' Bar" page, and hands it to the newcomer.
"What's your poison, Ambassador?"

Helen looks over with genuine concern. "Dear Notch, an attempt on your lives? What is this about?"

ARI: I'll tell you what it's about, it's sabotage! High tech sabotage so we can rule out Captain Boobala. Outrageous, the lengths some people go through to quiet this delegation....
AHUME: (whispers to Helen) Ignore him. Containment field failed on our ZPM and instead of allowing the fail safe to shut it down, he insisted someone had tampered with it, and in the process -- never mind, just ignore him.

-gets covered in confetti, thanks to that device and I stand up and shake it off onto the ground, I then turn to Steph, smiling a little- Thank-you. My poison of preference is Hemlock. -chuckles a little and then stops- I assume that isn't what you meant though. Although I am not exactly sure what you are asking. Sorry.

Steph gets a faraway look in her eye and intones, "To expect one to order poison in a bar is not logical." She blinks, then looks directly at the other fellow once again. "Uh, anyway. The beer I just ordered is quite tasty, and there's every conceivable manner of other beverage available, including some quite exotic stuff. Colloquially among many of the delegations here, asking that question is an invitation to order a drink. If you want to take the saying literally, I'm told the weapons nullifiers render even methanol less toxic, though I've got no particular desire to try it."

AHUME: Safe, yes, but without the ZPM our Stargate is down. We're expecting a visitor by ship to effect repairs shortly. (He dabs a bit of the green mucus onto his tongue.) Hmmm. Definitely inedible.

Here. Destressing, pacifist style.
(He pops a couple bubbles and, smiling, hands it to her. He then picks up his device and leaves the bar.)

Neville. Coffee. Black. One sugar. Make it a jumbo.
(She approaches Helen and smiles at the scene. She takes one corner of the bubble wrap and pops a couple of bubbles with Helen.)
Thanks, I needed that. Hey. Don't get too excited yet, but Agent Dressler thinks there's hope for Bell yet.

Helen looks over at Arya, observing her exhausted face. My, I hope she isn't doing something that she shouldn't be doing.

I had some more evidence hidden away. In the wall safe in our-- in, uh, the Wads' office. Stuff in better shape, stuff I wanted nowhere near the madman's lighter. She thinks she can use it to find the original paperwork and refute the evidence that's implicating Bell. She's been going through it all night, nonstop, trying to cross-reference my copies with digital copies. Ummm. I should warn you, Helen. She's... she seems... how can I put this... just the way she's thrown herself into this, and how relieved and happy she is every time she finds a little helpful tidbit of information... Helen, I think, I'm not sure, but I think she may still have feelings for Bell.

Their wing of the Proletarian party has exerted such force on the political machine that her status as chief representative is at risk."
