Thanks for the nomination. I do not wish to be considered at this time. Firstly, I would not be willing to work under what appears to be the current constraints imposed upon GenSec for disagreement with the administrators. Secondly, I genuinely hope that Wally will be reinstated. Thirdly, my reasons for retirement from November are still valid: I could not guarantee sufficient interest and activity for the foreseeable future. Perhaps that might change and at some future point I might wish to be considered again but not right now.

Not to piggyback too hard on others' writing, but this is all true for me as well. Thanks for tossing my name in the ring tho.

Is it too late for nominations?
Familiarity with the rules is one important feature in a gensec member, which I admit that my nominee has shown to lack over several years, and I would recommend that when gensec has to make a joint statement they should probably go to somebody else so as not to turn the entire site against them, however there is one quality that puts my nominee above the rest.
Nobody has shown themselves to have more confidence in their own ability than Sedge. Not only does Sedge know how various parts of the site should function, his confidence in his beliefs is so high that he is willing to ignore the opinions of everybody who participates in these areas of the site. From the WA to RP to R/D, the confident touch of Sedge has been felt.
So choose confidence over competence. Choose Sedge for our new gensec; hell, he probably doesn't even need the other 5.

Given the treatment of Wallenburg, one would assume the criterion that's giving them trouble at the moment is whether or not Sedgistan will quickly run them off. It'd be a pity to have to repeat this laborious process any time soon.

Bhang Bhang Duc very rarely participates in the GA forumside. They are very active in the SC, and perhaps they are regionally active, but they basically never participate in drafting or legality threads here.

It's admittedly likely far too late in this process to consider someone completely new but if it is not, and if they have not already been duly considered, I'd hope that this is enough for Overmind to get brought up in the conversation.

I didn't decline my nomination certainly, though I won't pretend to know what's going on with GenSec.
