Emphasizing the need for member nations to protect the rights of all persons, regardless of their SOGIESC status,
Noting with concern the ongoing prevalence of discriminatory laws, policies, and practices targeting individuals based on their SOGIESC status,

1. Decriminalize consensual same-sex sexual conduct and repeal laws that criminalize or discriminate against individuals on the basis of their SOGIESC status.
2. Ensure that laws and policies are in place to protect individuals from discrimination and violence based on their SOGIESC status.
3. Ensure that all persons have access to proper healthcare and medical treatment, free from discrimination based on their SOGIESC status.
4. Adopt affirmative measures and educational programs aimed at promoting a greater understanding of the issues related to SOGIESC and reducing prejudice, including in schools and other educational institutions.
5. Ensure access to proper legal recognition of gender identity, including the right to change one's name and gender marker, and the right to marry or enter a civil union with a person of the same or different sex.
6. Encourage the development of a more accurate and inclusive data collection system that includes SOGIESC status, to better understand the needs and experiences of people with diverse SOGIESC identities.
The General Assembly urges member nations to implement these measures promptly and effectively in the interest of promoting greater respect and protection of the human rights of all individuals, regardless of their SOGIESC status.
