[Official] GenSec Nominations

As this is not a vote, I don't have any suggestions other than that most of the names mentioned in this thread all seem great candidates for the consideration of GenSoc based on my limited experience over the last three years.

I would like to nominate Goobergunchia, Wallenburg, and Hulldom

Wallenburg, as others have said, has experience with the WA’s rule set, therefore Wallenburg will have no problem working with the rules.

Goobergunchia is already known to have experience in the WA and has been enforcing NS forum rules, so Goober would make for a great GA rule enforcer.

And as for Hulldom (yes I am from TNP so don’t judge my TNP bias please

), he has shown passion for involvement in the WA, since he was the Minister of WA Affairs for TNP and even has authored multiple resolutions. But equally important to this, Hulldom seems to have a good knowledge of the WA rules and would make for a competent GenSec member.

I think any of the people brought up so far would be excellent candidates.

Goob would be fantastic if they had interest. Obviously Goob has Mod duties so they'd probably be best in a "tiebreak" role on GenSec. Having a Mod on GenSec would be especially valuable for that purpose and also for those "is this GenSec or is this a Mod issue" things that come up from time to time (I think a plagiarism violation was a recent example of this).

Sanctaria would be great of course, given their long history with the GA and good relations with current GenSec members. Although I missed the Discord "threat" and I'd be curious what that refers to.

Unibot is extremely WA knowledgeable and could certainly fill the role.

The above three I think would be well-rounded in the main GenSec duties, which I define as (1) fairly enforcing GA proposal rules, (2) supporting and encouraging the GA player base, and (3) working collaboratively to improve the GA experience.

Wally, Honeydew, and Tinhampton are also very qualified but I place them in a tier below the folks above. Tin I would trust more to foster the player base than to apply the rules well. Wally and Honey I'd put at the other end of that spectrum. In general, these folks are still very actively playing the proposal game in a manner more like a "senior player" than a rule maker/enforcer.

Everyone else who has been mentioned as a candidate in this thread would be qualified and I mean no disrespect by not mentioning them. I think there really is no replacing BA (or GH?) but GenSec really is spoilt for choices of solid folks who are well equipped to step in and serve in this role.
