Didn't we repeal something really similar not a long time ago?

"Peer review" means having at least one expert in a particular field review a piece of scientific work and provide written feedback commenting on the validity of the work's methods, findings, and conclusions

Having just one expert review seems lacking? Two experts at least, not 'at least one' would be required for publication in typical scientific journals.

Yes, we did. This is the "replacement" if you will.

Avoiding the curse of Reviewer 2 may be the hidden gem of this resolution. But for those who have not yet encountered Reviewer 2, or those who are Reviewer 2, it says "at least one".

To the Member Nations of the World Assembly:

Thank you to everyone who supported this endeavor. Special thanks to:

Attempted Socialism, who provided necessary advice to shape the scope of this proposal and arrive at an appropriate and acceptable definition of science.
Bananaistan, who helped ensure the proposal's legality and remove unnecessary surplusage.
Imperium Anglorum, who provided sound advice on how to reduce the proposal's length to a reasonable level.
And to the many others who voiced their support and encouragement.

One day, when our grandchildren are driving us to the moon so we can receive our bi-annual longevity treatments, we can all look back with pride at how we invested in a better future by committing ourselves to the greater pursuit of scientific knowledge.

In Celebration,

K. Twinklebright
Political Ally, Class 37
Ambassador to the World Assembly
