Resolution on the matter of Discrimination
Category: Civil Rights
1. The following term(s) are defined as such for this resolution:
a. Discrimination is defined as unequal behavior based on outward-facing characteristics of a person.
b. Outward-facing characteristics are defined as properties of a person or item that can be immediately perceived through sight or hearing.
c. Elections are assemblies in which people vote for someone to be in a position of power.
d. Service means a good someone provides that is not tangible (for example, admission to a park.)
2. Therefore, recognizing the detriment discrimination has on civil rights;
I propose the following:
1. In the work environment, discrimination is forbidden with the following exception(s):
a. Discrimination due to medical concerns that could result in new inefficiency, or that can spread and is potentially lethal.
2. In the dispensing medical treatment, discrimination is completely forbidden.
3. In elections, discrimination is forbidden with the same exception(s) as in the work environment.
4. In deciding whether or not to provide a good or service to someone, discrimination is forbidden, with the same exception(s) as the work environment.
5. In other environments, discrimination is NOT forbidden, to avoid accidentally infringing on civil rights.
I want to know two things:
Has this been done before, and
If not, what can I do to improve this resolution?
