Hello,
I would like to submit this General Assembly proposal. I would like to know if I can do so (if there is already this kind of resolution or not). Also, if there are any more things I should write in the proposal + what strenght should it be? Cathegory is: Civil Rights.
Thanks!

The General Assembly,
recognizing that "forced conversion" in a religious context is a unauthorized, however common, interference with the fundamental human right of choosing a faith, religion
or spirituality freely according to one's personal beliefs and values, decided that:
- all acts of forced religious conversion, no matter the circumstances, must be prohibited
- governments are required to recognize the existence of all religious minorities living in their territory
- governments are required to provide a sufficient protection of the freedom of faith to all spiritual and religious groups (no matter how small they are)
- governments are not allowed to create a pressure on religious minorities via higher taxation or by removing some of their civil liberties in an attempt to convert them
Furthermore, The General Assembly is acknowledging that "forced conversion" is a deep rooted cultural problem in some nations, and cultural aspects can't be suppressed by national
laws as fast and as effectively as purely governmental aspects, thus:
- all nations have a transitional period of 10 years to fully comply with this resolution
- an international foundation for the protection of the freedom of religon will be created, helping to promote cultural change and tolerance in the most affected nations
The General Assembly hereby bans a forced conversion, hoping to create a more inclusive and tolerant environment for the people of all faiths in all WA member nations.
