We have both human and sentient non-human species. All of them react to Alcohol in different ways, and some barely react to excessive alcohol amounts. Drinking whole bottles of hard liquor with having their BAC barely hit 0.01%. So, are we still going to put these arbitrary limits on the amount of alcohol consumed by an individual, or are we going to just send this proposal through the shredder?"

Even if this was well written, which it isn't, the idea is dumb

"The C.D.S.P. opposes this fervently. Our nation has a robust craft brewing, distilling, and meadmaking industry, and hope to begin exporting domestic product to neighbors. Making craft beer, wine, and liquor is a form of art. There is no salient policy goal to regulate it internationally. Even if the authoring delegation were to use truly pathetic reasoning that the WA has addressed domestic evils like the death penalty, they have not been able to articulate why private commerce rises to the level of state-directed action intended to end a life."

The concept is fine, but it needs to be redrafted and rewritten.

OOC: the only reasonable international regulation would be something like codifying a ruling à la Van Gend en Loos v Netherlands (1963) and saying that in the trade of alcohol, the classification of the alcohol in the exporting state is the category under which it shall be imported in the importing state for tariff purposes.

Then how is the World Assembly the place to dictate, say, the legality of the death penalty? You can use that logic on anything that's been passed dictating what nations can and can't do.

Ambassador Tav: Nice strawman you got there. Comparing the death penalty to alcohol consumption are two different matters. Your entire concept of this alcohol regulation is not a good one. Now, do you have any rum or whiskey for me to drink?
In solidarity with Ukraine, I will be censoring the letters Z and V from my signature. This is -ery much so a big change, but it should be a -ery positi-e one. -olodymyr -elensky and A-o- continue to fight for Ukraine while the Russians are still trying to e-entually make their way to Kharki-, -apori-h-hia, and Kry-yi Rih, but that will take time as they are concentrated in areas like Bakhmut, -uledar, and other areas in Donetsk. We will see Shakhtar play in the Europa League but Dynamo Kyi- already got eliminated. Shakhtar managed to play well against Florentino Pere-'s Real Madrid who feature superstars like -inicius, Ben-ema, Car-ajal, and -al-erde. Some prominent Ukrainian players that got big transfers elsewhere include Oleksander -inchenko, Illya -abarnyi, and Mykhailo Mudryk.

“Ambassador... unfortunately we disagree with your entire premise. If this proposal were written not to limit civil rights and freedoms, but to promote overall health and wellness with alcoholism awareness campaigns, that would be one thing. But you showed no hesitation to file this under ‘moral decency’. Ambassador, we are a very devout and cultured nation, but even we can attest that prohibition doesn’t work. We oppose.”
