The World Assembly,

Believing every person has the right of privacy in most locations while wanting to officialize this right,

Hereby;

I. Defines 'privacy' as the act of being independant from being seen or annoyed by others,

II. Gives all people the right of privacy, unless:

- They are involved in a court trial, and
- They are in the military or police force, serving in active service,

III. Allows people to restrict privacy in their private property,

Ambassador Tav: No.

[Lord] Michael Evif, long-time WA ambassador from the Moderately Liberal Republic, could generally be counted on to provide a reasonable, measured, dry (and, by less charitable observers, stuffy and boring) response to any measure before the General Assembly.

Unfortunately, the senior diplomat was not in his seat when the draft proposal from Molotovsk was read. Instead, Darren Funkel, the most immature member of the Goobergunchian delegation, whose appointment was generally rumored in Goobergunch City social circles as a nepotistic political favor, happened to be on the floor.

"How do you expect people to not be seen by others when they are in public? I mean, I'm sure you don't think you get to be invisible here, right?

With that, Darren pulls out a Polaroid camera, starts snapping pictures of the ambassador from Molotovsk, and gleefully offers the instant prints of said pictures to any ambassadors that have the misfortune of being nearby.

"What even is this shit," Ambassador DuBois inquires as he takes a copy of the pictures and leaves the room.

Dame Allania Trueblood wanders in, still carrying her scrolls and now looking quite annoyed.

"Was this place designed by some kind of madman? This is the nineteenth draft office I've wandered into!"

She pauses as she looks at the draft, then raises an eyebrow.

"This very draft is you annoying me, ambassador. I wonder how you plan to enforce it? Will you have mages wandering around, casting invisibility spells on someone? Shamans making sacrifices to He Who Steals The Soul to blind people? Or will you simply have little golems running around, stabbing people in the eyes to blind them?"

She reaches to accept a copy of the picture from Darren, gives him as graceful a curtsy as possible with the scrolls in her hands, and then strides out to continue her neverending quest to find her office.

“This is about as broad as a galaxy supercluster. Restrict the scope heavily. At present, this is far too difficult to enforce, along with being generally unreasonable, for me to support.”

"Given the Molo-something ambassador is seriously annoying me with these crappy proposals, would passing that mean their presence in these halls became a WA crime? If so, support."

OOC: Autocorrect malfunction there? But yeah I think we have in general dogpiled this enough. Time to let it die.

No. The word "sus" has risen in popularity along with a multiplayer online game called "Among Us," where up to ten people can play and ultimately decide which one of them is the "impostor." I encourage you to search the internet for "when the impostor is sus!" for more information :P

Ambassador Tav: The Molo delegation seems to put a bunch of hastily-written proposals and hope one of them works. Their approach can be categorized as "sus" by other delegations as seen earlier.

PM Paul Craxton takes a sip of his coffee, adjourns Parliament, and leaves the room.
Opposition Leader Timothy Culkins almost drops his letters to the Member.

Environment Minister April Brooks almost chokes on her scone.

Education Minister Lawrence Taykyll throws up a little in his mouth.

Deputy PM Tanya Rockwell solemnly stands up and goes to refill her cup of herbal tea.

Eli Heyford runs out of Parliament screaming obscenities.

(OOC: It's rather short. It's a proposal for sure, it just doesn't have a lot of substance.)

OOC: Shortness does not necessarily handicap quality. In this case, however, it does.

OOC: No, no, it is completely definitely an autocorrect fail - they meant to write "susi". Literally it means "wolf" but in context it means "something not working as it should due to a fundamental malfunction". The malfunction here of course being the laziness to take the time to actually draft properly. 8)

But yeah, going to stop responding before we get a Modly Cough about beating the dead horse of a proposal. :P

Just leave it for now, ok? It's only a draft, and I'm sure Molo will be able to work on it.
Acknowledging I have expressed my distaste for the draft, yes, these sorts of proposals are annoying (short, badly-written ones), but there isn't a need to flamebait and get all toxic about it.
It's just a browser game.

I'm really not sure it can be worked out at all. We already have multiple privacy resolutions on the books, and this short thing absolutely contradicts them. If it did not, it would fit in the same exceptions that are in existing law and would be illegal for duplication. If the OP wants to write on privacy, they should take a look at those laws and look for a more specific, narrow part of privacy policy to legislate on.

OOC: There's nothing toxic about criticizing a poor draft.

OOC: Sorry, Separatist Peoples. I fully understand.
I know it's a poor draft, and I know I'm not a moderator, never aspired to be,
I'm just worried about a 'Condemn the Communist Bloc' situation.

The author has been drafting all these terrible proposals that simply do nothing or already contradict prior WA legislation. Seems like they don't care about the feedback the GA regulars give.

Ooc: I have no idea what that is, but until this treads into OSRS violations, let's not worry about what may occur.

Okay, Separatist Peoples.
OOC: I do tend to worry a lot about things out of my control
