Ooc: probably because you haven't bothered to read the replacement. Or repeal. Or IA's past proposals. Or, honestly, because you don't pay enough attention to the GA to know what you're criticizing.

Let's not jump ahead of ourselves there and trail off with a rude attitude. It is not criticism to point out an obvious notice. So before you go off assuming things, yes I read the repeal, IA states there are multiple contradictions, etc etc. Knowing his past - this will get repealed and they're make a new one or work with someone else to make a new one.

I do pay attention to the GA but because of attitudes like yours, I prefer not to get involved. Too much Drama coming from a leader of GA. It also makes new players not want to get involved either. One Day, you won't be a Secretariat so maybe try to get the next generation interested instead of being crass with the current generation because IA isn't going to be around forever either to do all the work and keep the GA active.

Ooc: I passed a proposal last week and have four active drafts but yeah. It's all IA.

There's nothing crass about it. You posited a scenario that is entirely inaccurate. I attributed it to ignorance.

We have more active drafters and new authors now than in the least 3 years. Another incorrect scenario posited. I attribute this one to ignorance as well.

OOC: You're a secretariat, and yet the concept of tact is still somehow mysterious to you. Starting to get a picture.

OOC: My job is rules enforcement. Not coddling feelings. My posts here were not related to my job, but to my actions as a player.

I'm not sure how noting ignorance of a situation is tactless. It is clear that they are operating with incomplete information. Its normal, if not commendable, to not seek out sufficient information prior to posting. I noted it.

If you need me to sugar coat things for you, let me know.

Different Person - so seems I'm not the only one that notices things. to Reference the highlighted part, it seems you were "ignorant" yourself in checking to see if both people were WA nations. If you believe it to be the same then go make a report

And edited when I noticed. Before you posted. Clearly I do my research before needing prompted.

“Apparently, I haven’t seen this bill. It seems like a reasonable repeal of legislation that unfortunately contained a few flaws. As such, full support.”

Herrera sees on the electronic board that he is next on the list to speak. He accommodates the microphone on his desk and waits for the red light to turn on - "This Delegation will support the proposal here under debate with its vote. At Eluney we firmly believe in the benefits of trade between nations. However, we are convinced that each Nation should have the freedom to choose which international trade policy to take and under what conditions, in pursuit of economic independence and political sovereignty" - He turns a page and, after reading a few scribbles, continues - In this sense, we understand that the Resolution that is proposed to repeal is not sufficiently respectful of our values and restricts in a totally arbitrary way the freedom of Nations to choose with whom and how to trade. this Delegation will vote in favor of this proposal".

Mr. Carlos Alejandro Herrera.
Permanent Representative of the Federal Republic of Eluney to the World Assembly.

Repeal "World Assembly Trade Rights" was passed 12,627 votes to 1,081. 92.11 pc support.

I never thought this resolution would be such a blowout but here we are.

Would have been twice as bad if Amerion/TSP didn't close voting so early or take into account the fact that one of the two "FOR" votes was cast based on a misconception of what the repeal does :P

Ooc: glad they did. Now nothing can stop the Compliance Commission.
