WA committees by definition can't get corrupted.

OOC: Except the point they likely were referring to, was the national committee entity, which would not be a WA committee, in that it would be people from the nation in question, not WA gnomes. And people from WA nations can be presumed to be corruptable in general (though hopefully in most cases not in particular).

Apologies for absences, non-COVID health issues leave me with very little energy at times.

This will decline our economy a lot. But also safer on the environment, Withdraw your vote because that does not make any sense.

“Although Eluney considers the protection of the environment essential, this Delegation cannot accompany this proposal. In our Federal Republic, although there are federal laws that impose minimum requirements for environmental protection, the provinces and municipalities are in charge of approving, enabling and controlling of the sanitary landfills.

However, any activity that involves an eventual impact on the environment -whether by a private party or the State at any of its levels- must carry out an "environmental impact study" that must be approved by the corresponding enforcement authority - national, provincial or municipal-. This makes the prohibitions in articles 2 and 3 of this proposal, in our opinion, too inflexible with the powers granted by our National Constitution to the provincial and municipal states.

In short, we would have preferred a more flexible wording that contemplated the autonomies of a Federal State”.

Goodluck Johnson, West Slantonite Ambassador to the World Assembly and Buzkashi Superstar: West Slante is in favor of the Landfill Regulation act. This will be a costly investment, but a poisoned environment would be even more of one. It is fine if our neighbours wants to wallow in filth, but not when others are downwind and downstream. All must be held to the highest standards of environmental protection. West Slante further promises that each financially underperforming household within its' borders will be responsible for the safe storage of dangerous waste in relation to their failure to contribute to the nation's GDP. Uašiltu Slante!
