Membership was originally determined by the moderation team, and, since then, GenSec votes for its own replacements when there is a vacancy.

Genuine question, when a region is liberated in a WA or SC resolution, what exactly happens to said region? I've voted and seen many of these come and go but never truthfully knows what happens.

There are two chambers in the World Assembly: the General Assembly and the Security Council. The General Assembly is concerned with international law binding member-nations. Liberations are exclusively the domain of the Security Council, which has its own thread for questions. Fortunately, this precise question was just answered there. The simple answer is that Liberations remove a Region’s password.

Hope this is a good place to ask this. My partner has been playing the game for like a decade now and has recently gotten me into it and we've started our own region. We live together but do not share accounts, we have our own accounts. With this said, would I be flagged for using a second account in the world assembly if he were to join the world assembly and endorse me so I can become the region delegate?

I think this is probably not the place you should be asking this.

My answer is that you can only have one world assembly account per person. If you are two different people, with two different accounts, you can both be in the WA but if two of them are controlled by one player, that is not allowed.

The following section from the One-Stop Rules Shop is applicable to this:

WA Multiing: A basic rule is one WA nation per person. (You may have as many non-WA nations as you like.) Any WA nations operated from the same computer will be treated as multies. If you have family or roommates who want to be in the WA too, work it out with them. It is your responsibility to make sure you have resigned from the WA before someone else joins from your computer. There is no way for us to truly know how many people are on the other side of the connection.
