No, but unless you get other nations to agree, they can just ignore it as RP godmod. You won't be able to use it as an argument in a GA proposal debate, if that was your angle.

If all of these planets belong to your nation, or are currently unclaimed, I don't think there's anything wrong with it. However, if you want stargates in other nations, there would need to be a agreement of some sort, out of pure decency, but I do not believe there to be any WA legislation on this.

On what topic? Member states are already restricted on what they can do to destabilize or interfere with domestic matters of fellow WA members thanks to GAR2. Building interstellar travel devices against their will would be a prime example.

Would a proposal dealing with the reduction of statelessness be Human Rights - Significant or Human Rights - Mild? I'm currently drafting up a proposal on the subject, but don't know about the strength.

That depends entirely on how it's written.

I'd like to see that once you put it on the forums. TG me a link when it's up.

Could be a while for that. I'm planning to put it through the Euro forums, then probably through the TNP forums, and then finally here.

Doing all at once sounds way more efficient.

Point taken. I'm still working on the draft, but I will definitely consider doing that. Thanks.

You should develop your idea and post it to this forum as a draft. There you can receive criticism and discussion on the merits and efficacy of the draft. When it is ready, you then submit it to the General Assembly.

Related to this post and the preceding conversation about voter numbers and turnout, is there anyway of seeing the total number of endorsements given to all delegates?

Eh, thanks.

Yeah I already knew of the existence of that 104 page document where you'd have to click into 1500 links and tot all the way along. I was hoping someone would point an interface or something that just shows the total like the ones for the regional vote totals and so on.

NSStatstics: http://nsdossier.texasregion.net/statistics.aspx

Scroll down to "World" and click "Submit World request". Then sort by Endorsements. You will get the first 100 results, but you'll have to keep clicking to see the next 100 and so forth.

Also, obviously, viewing the resolution at vote will allow you see all Delegates who have voted, in the order of how many endorsements they have.

Deadly! Thanks. And there's an export to excel button there too so no need for any copying and pasting and clicking through a pile of pages.

Next question, is there anyway to get details on the breakdown of the vote on the last resolution?

SP, the problem with this thread on the subject of WA law is that this is about PROPOSALS. If one were created about WA Law itself, that would be more inviting than a 'GA Proposals Q&A'.

Plenty of people come here asking if something is legal or not, generally with the intention of writing a proposal. Theres no reason this thread cannot also handle questions about existing resolutions just because the name includes the term "proposals". Don't be pedantic.

And one of the major reasons why we have so many bad WA posts is because of the word 'description', which people actual take literally. I still believe it should be changed to 'Proposal Text' or something like that. The word 'proposals' here clearly means that this is for proposals. If another thread were made and stickied for the express purpose, that would be much better at both (1) increasing the exposure of the Assembly and (2) injecting the WA into people's RP, which would (3) make the Assembly mean more. Helps put life into it.
