Notokiwa: As my employer tells me, sometimes less really is more. I'm fond of the concise format, Ambassador Jenkins.

Notokiwa: However, as Ambassador possibly Perise from Morover and Ambassador McCooley have pointed out, and as many delegates have already said in the chambers where your repeal is being discussed, your resolution does not merely treat consensual sterilization, but also allows member states to make it a punishment for a sexual crime.

Notokiwa: Sterilization as a criminal penalty is irreversible and violates bodily autonomy. It doesn't meaningfully improve criminal justice, whether focused on reform or incarceration. It makes implicit, unnecessary, and gendered presumptions about sexual violence.

Notokiwa: For these reasons, which you are probably familiar with but which I repeat for any delegates new to the conversation, I will vote against.
Faye Notokiwa: Unlikely counter-clerk, inexplicable World Assembly ambassador

OPPOSED!

We will not entertain any further attempts to rationalize this barbaric behavior especially under the guise of something seemingly innocuous.

Even if it weren't for that obvious Trojan horse of legislation vasectomies and tubal ligation already existed for decades and are available to any consenting adult who chooses that for themselves.

If the ambassador acts like an ambassador, it's probably Delegate Arthur.
If he acts like an edgy teen, it's probably definitely Delegate Jim.... it's always Jim
