Perhaps being considered a fascist by most should be grounds for some introspection about your positions or those of the people you surround yourself with. Having seen y'alls discord, I am much less inclined to consider this draft seriously.

The first half of this is stuff that could be handled with another resolution instead of a repeal and replace, and the second half is just untrue. This argument is not compelling, and even if it were I don't trust the intentions of the author.
I want to improve.

If you'll care to point out those positions of mine that supposedly require introspection, I'm all ears.

"Seeing as there is no replacement draft given by the dishonorable ambassador, no support.

Hmm...

Not much consideration either, for the same reason."

Would there be any interest in reviving a better version of this if I was to draft up a more comprehensive replacement?

Unless you can somehow find both better arguments and a better reputation, no.

I mean, we are working on that.

I don't want to turn this into yet another CCD thread (and I'm not really sure how you view my personal reputation)... but... https://www.nationstates.net/page=dispatch/id=1362534

(OOC: For me, it’s mainly the lack of comprehensive arguements that is the issue, aside from the reputation. Of your only two critiques of the target, one could be addressed without a repeal, and the second only works with bad-faith compliance.)

OOC:

I agree with Kenmoria here - you don't need to repeal ATHT to fix the issues you have with it (minus the issues with affordability and ease of access, but those arguments are flawed and, frankly, make little to no sense).

Also, you misspelled "affordable."

OOC: Though much of what I'm about to say has already been said thusfar in this discussion, I would vote against it for several reasons. Firstly, there is no replacement being proposed. I see "Affordable Transgender Hormone Therapy" as a great stepping stone for affordable hormone therapy, and without a strong and well-supported replacement bill, this repeal will only worsen conditions for those seeking affordable hormone therapy. Further, the arguments for repeal are, as Tinfect said, flimsy at best. Sure, it is not the perfect resolution, but again, it's better than nothing - which is what we would be left with if we were to follow through with your repeal. Thirdly, credibility. Tinfect's personal experiences are incredibly relevant to this discussion and are very insightful in knowing how impactful "Affordable Transgender Hormone Therapy" are to the transgender community. Given Tinfect's experience in the subject of hormone therapy, I'd say she is, to quote, "ten-thousand times more knowledgeable on this." And although I know the CCD has made strides to repair its relationship with the WA community, it's difficult to forget how disruptive the region has been.

I strongly urge the author consider making a replacement proposal for "Affordable Transgender Hormone Therapy" if he seeks to rectify what this resolution got wrong. While this means it will take a lot more time and effort to see the passage of the repeal, if there is no solid replacement, transgender people seeking affordable hormone therapy will be left with nothing.

So I think it's pretty clear from feedback that I'm probably trying to go about this the wrong way.

New plan - I'll draft up a more comprehensive replacement legislation and attempt to pass that first. Given GA#467 will very likely be made redundant as a result, if there is sufficient demand for it, a modified version of this repeal can be submitted if the replacement passes.

OOC:

If you're going to make a new resolution, make it focused on synthetic hormone therapy - such as that created by The New Sicilian State.

(OOC: That seems to be the best plan. If you have a fully comprehensive replacement, then it would probably duplicate 467, so the repeal will need to be passed first. However, if there is a comprehensive replacement that is better than 467, then passing a repeal should not be too hard to accomplish.

On the other hand, a proposal addressing specifically synthetic hormone therapy, or addressing the wider issue of hormone therapy in general, could be swiftly passed without needing a repeal. This would seem to be the easier option.)
