The World Assembly,
Understanding, that wartime can destroy the lives of citizens of member nations
Recognizing, that the government tries it’s best to protect citizens and veterans during wars,
Defines, for the purpose of this proposal, a "Veteran" is a member of the armed forces who was honorably discharged, therefore excluding dishonorably discharged members of the armed forces, as well as those who are being investigated or found guilty of a war crime.
Disappointed, that the government sometimes fails to protect economic stability and domestic tranquility of the veterans after the said war,
Ensures, that veterans must be compensated for their time in a war with legal tender or shelter if need be,
Strongly Urges, all member nations to build facilities to house veterans who either cannot work or who have mental disabilities,
Proclaims, that the veterans in member states DO have the right to refuse any help the governments are prepared to give them unless they are not sane and suffering from mental illness such as schizophrenia which can affect their decision making,
Declares, that families of veterans can be included in these protections if they are also citizens of the nation where they reside,
Prohibits, member nations from supporting another nation’s veterans if they are not currently residing in that nation to ensure that all nations can support their own veterans,
Ensures, that all veterans in member nations are given proper medical assistance such as surgeries or vaccines if needed, whether in home nation or other nation after they are discharged from the force,
Mandates, that member nations cannot make veterans pay for housing unless they are not, in any way, disabled and are deemed fit to work,
