The Uyghurs are reportedly being put in Nazi style camps, re-educated, and forced to abandon their Islamic faith and Turkic culture in China. On the opposite side of China, Pro-Democracy protestors in the previously British possession of Hong Kong are gaining power and annoying Communist Beijing. South of China, in Myanmar (Burma) the government has engaged in ethnic cleansing against the Muslim group known as the Rohingya, forcing them to flee Rakhine state to Bangladesh and Malaysia, and the Burmese army has reported raped, beaten and murdered a number of people. The Palestine-Israeli conflict obviously rages on and on, with Israeli military/police killing several Palestinians, including teenagers and children, through either air strikes or shootings at protests.
