Not without their permission - which can still be sought as they are still on NS, albeit retired from the GA. Plagiarism is bad; giving other players incorrect advice is an order of magnitude better, but it is also bad.

In any event, USSR appears to have given up on his draft due to a litany of contradictions - rather than any concerns about stealing from others.

An Idea, I Guess?

Has there ever been a resolution introduced asking for the establishment of a peacekeeping force? A standing army for the world assembly for the sole purpose of intervening in conflicts as peacekeepers and not peace enforcers.

Forbidden by GA#2 "Rights and Duties of WA States," Article 10. Try repealing that first, then submitting your peacekeeping resolution.

It's not incorrect advice to say that you can't use someone's text if the nation has CTE'd and the person isn't around. Point being that just because the nation CTE'd - equivalent of an author of a book dying in RL - their text doesn't suddenly become something that you can plagiarize at will.

If I theoretically wanted to write a resolution that would mandate nudity for all WA members, how would I go about doing that

The same process you would undertake for writing a resolution that would do anything else:
1: Draft it here for at least a few weeks
2: Listen to, and take onboard, the feedback that you get; abandon or completely revamp if necessary
3: Submit it when you feel it is ready (with regards to Step 1), if you haven't abandoned it
4: Campaign for it, watch it get to vote, etc.

I don't necessarily support your proposal but I'm more than happy to watch people come up with ideas here on the GA Forum.

World Assembly,

Realizing the social stigmas that arise from judgements upon individual clothing choices,

Staying aware that clothes are often used as a mechanism for victim blaming in cases of assault and rape,

Recognizing that buying clothing can be a significant cost incursion on low income families,

Reaffirming that most clothes are produced through exploitative and underpaid labor, which in turn can have severe negative economic repercussions,

Reiterating that clothes are often used as a way to buttress social inequalities and class structure

Acknowledging that the natural resources for clothes take a large toll on the environment and are a considerable factor in water scarcity

Making note that clothing is unnatural by design and is not a necessary part of human evolutionary design,

Noting the importance of body positivity and the scientifically backed fact that nudity in social settings can promote it,

Seeking to clarify that nudity is not inherently sexual and normalizing it can lead to lower levels of objectification, sexualization and fetishization of certain groups of

I. Defines, for the purpose of this legislation,
a. ‘nudity’ as an absence of any worn clothing with exception to footwear, headwear, accessories or assistive articles,
b. ‘public lewdness’ as any sexual act in public, including signs of arousal,
II. Mandated member nations to ban the act of wearing clothes
III. Requires member nations to legalize and enforce nudity
IV. Mandates member nations to continue the criminalization of public lewdness
V. Suggests that member nations begin body positivity campaigns
VI. Allows member nations to allow clothes to be worn on certain national or cultural holidays if they so wish

Please don't. This was tried years ago. The game isn't coded for war. If you want to have peacekeepers and run Military things, you can do so on the International Incidents subforum. They RP wars and such(that forum is just swimmingly filled with nuke happy warmongers) Just get a few like minded nations and play army as long as your heart's content.

For Peacekeepers to work you would need to RP the conflict, and have all parties willingly take part. If one or two nations refuse, then you'd have to act as a godmodding blatherskite, and personally I ignore anyone godmodding my nation without permission, and I fully disregard and decisions or outcomes from such actions.

After the repeal of "On Genetically Modified Foods," has there been any legislation that effectively addresses GMOs?

There is currently no replacement legislation for On Genetically Modified Foods, nor any legislation about GMOs.

Thank you. Though I don't want to rush it, I'd like to explore legislation on GMOs. Though it might be useful to look over prior legislation and the repeal.

I think attempting to repeal GA#2 would be a complete exercise in futility. It has withstood the test of time longer than any other resolution. Additionally, the repeal of GA#2 would render numerous resolutions redundant.

If you want any help with this endeavor, I would be willing to support you. But I advise you that you would be very lucky to go anywhere with this.

If you are actually planning on doing this, you can’t. A repeal can only repeal one resolution at a time.

It's, uh... actually quite the opposite. The corpus of GA law depends (to an extent that comes close to violating the House of Cards rule, if I'm being brutally honest) very much on GAR #2's faithful execution clause for rather a lot of how we claim that it works. Only one or two resolutions are devoted to compliance enforcement, out of nearly five hundred that have passed to date (counting repeals). Removing GAR #2 would necessitate multiple replacements in order to satisfactorily restore the accepted RP scheme of how the GA works; and in the meantime, you might well have the Compliance Commission metastasizing into a Bircher's nightmare One World Government globalized WA Army with complete plenipotentiary power - a back-from-the-grave victory for the most radical and deluded International Federalists.

TL;dr Removing GAR #2 doesn't render anything "redundant;" it opens the door for anything you can imagine and returns the GA to a new (albeit brief, probably) Wild West of legislative frenzy.

OOC: I would also like to know if it would be possible to enact a resolution altering the voting times for resolutions. I think such a resolution would greatly increase efficiency within the World Assembly. Presently, the General Assembly is voting on a resolution that is losing 85-15 with another 48 hours of voting. Meanwhile, there are two other proposals waiting in queue. The same is true for the Security Council, which is voting on a resolution that is winning by a similar margin, with two other proposals waiting in queue. In my opinion, these votes should have ended a long time ago on account of the fact that they have been foregone conclusions since the beginning.

As this is concerned with how the actual games 'NationStates' works, such a proposition does not belong in a resolution (and such a resolution would be illegal), but rather in the Technical forum.
