I don't quite understand what you're saying. You mean "lower crime" as a policy objective, or in terms of stats?

The resolutions work on national stats based on the categories and strength or area of effect that they have, the resolution text is irrelevant from the point of view of stat effects. There's no "Law" category that would directly affect crimerates, but I guess that International Security category might have an effect on lowering crime, since it boosts police and military spending. EDIT: I don't actually know the exact category effects beyond what I can see happening in my own stats, only the game coders know the exact effects.

Hi, I want to ask if there has been a proposal expanding abortion access?

I think this can be very difficult for new players.

It sure can. This is why the most consistent advice we give to new players is to sit and watch for a while, and specifically participate in drafting threads. Immersion in the critiquing process is how virtually everyone who plays the game first learned what is what and how to succeed. To be honest the list of proposal ideas in the OP is targeted at people who have been around for at least a bit of time.

One other point: despite the In Character prickliness of many of our WA ambassadors, most people around here are willing to help out a newbie who is sincerely willing to accept constructive criticism and improve their writing. The game is indeed difficult - but it's far from impossible, even if you're just starting out.

Is a video entertainment (video games) rating act appropriate, or has it been done before?

Given nations have the sole right to establish age limits (as you might need to have on videos), I'm not entirely certain it's doable. And also, what's the international side of it? It sounds like a national one, like it is in RL.

It depends on the proposal, although, I highly doubt anything related to lowering crime would pass, due to that being a more national issue than international issue.
May I see the draft (if there is one)?

There isn't one, I was just asking.

Not that I know of, if not so Authenticity in Advertisement sounds like an excellent idea! Anyone else know if this has been done before?

Excellent! I was worried since it seemed like an obvious issue, but I will wait for a bit and make sure it is not already covered.

I’m actually curious about this too, because I’m currently doing research for one that would prevent ambiguous/misleading food labeling, and it could possibly be covered by a similar resolution.

There isn’t any extant law that I’ve been able to find, so you should be fine.

Looks like you should be fine! If you need any help I'd be happy to assist, and I'd definitely support a law making sure advertisers tell the truth!

What would happen if we repealed General Assembly Resolution # 1?

It’s impossible to repeal - on a physical level. The button simply doesn’t exist, and using URL manipulation to get a page about a repeal of GA #001 results in an eventual error.

If it were to be repealed, that would probably mark the creation of a third international organisation, akin to how the GA was to the UNmentionable organisation. However, I don’t think this will happen any time soon.

Some good ideas that we should propose are some of the harder ideas that have a vast variation on view. EX Drugs and Guns. Some of these topics are some of the hardest to talk about and can get a mixed series of answers from the citizens of the world. But these are important to make sure they are talked about and have a solution.
