To be honest I’d have been a little bit surprised if this had passed, but with the Assembly so quiet recently anyhows submitting a mild proposal like this one seemed a reasonable use of time… and it might have got through, after all: ‘Dry Paws Catch No Fish’, as the old saying goes. The scale of the defeat was a bit disappointing — I’d hoped for at least a third of the votes cast to be in favour, rather than just around a quarter as was the case — and as I smell it the depressingly high number of ambassadors saying that they opposed it because their governments simply aren’t interested in listening to anybody else just shows how much such advice hrreally is needed…

It's quite easy to not notice a typo, especially since they modified how resolution titles are displayed. Best of luck on your next proposal, perhaps one that does something next time?

I call it a bug. If the set_title method returns the cleaned title, but doesn't actually implement the cleaning, it should be changed. "Correct" because it is implemented that way, when the current implementation is counterintuitive or produces unexpected behaviour, is not correct.

First, I'm making an analogy to a setting method failing to actually clean the data provided to it. That's why I say 'if'. If I had said 'The current method does X', then I would be making the claim that you seem to be insinuating that I am making. Second, I have worked on web development. Third, it is quite simply bad design to make a system which allow errors such as this to be concealed from the user without any means to change it. If you would like to defend the current implementation, do so.
