Change Text on WA Resolutions

Postby Lady Scylla » Sat Feb 25, 2017 12:11 pm

I can understand wanting aesthetics for resolutions within the World Assembly, but the inconsistency and furthermore, the fonts chosen are a bit of an issue. The Germanic? fonts used in the middle of the title area are too small, and as someone with bad eyesight, I can't even read it. They're just a blob -- the last word looks like Drooo?io as an example. I would suggest either finding a better or larger font for clarity so I, and others, can actually read the bloody thing.

This is the most important thing facing the WA right now!(sarcasm)

This is something for the Technical Forum, not the GA. And I believe there is a way of getting your browser show text with a larger font.

Apologies for absences, non-COVID health issues leave me with very little energy at times.

So you rather talk about text font on resolutions, then real concrete WA reform.

I don't have poor eyesight, but I agree that we need a better font. Georgia, perhaps?

Having to go up and down 5 sizes is a bit of a pain.

Looking over Georgia, that could work. It or TNR or similar. I think the argument should be made that functionality, usability, and readability should take precedent over aesthetics for WA Resolutions. It puts people at an unfair advantage if they struggle to read legally binding resolutions.

I'm not a WA member (till 84 days from now at least), but I think this could be supportable. I do check out the WA and the font is kinda hard to read. But I still feel it should be kinda fancy. How about Times New Roman?

Fonts can look very different on different browsers/devices/screens. It'd be handy if you can post a screenshot, or even a photo of the screen.

I've boxed the areas that I can't read. I'm using the Opera browser but they look the same via Chrome as well so they just come out as distorted blobs to my eyes
