Understanding the pain of those in dire medical situations,
Recognizing the many hardships faced by the terminally ill,
Believing that the responsibility of the medical system is to treat, rather than kill,
Noting that all people, even the terminally ill, are alive until their heart stops beating,
Further Understanding the role of the medical system in protecting the lives of all people, especially the sick and the terminally ill,
Appalled that far too often, euthanasia is used instead of trying to save the life of the patient,
Defining euthanasia as the physician-assisted killing of a terminally ill patient,
Hereby bans the practice of euthanasia in all WA member states.
