Liberate The Fish

A resolution to increase the quality of the world's environment, at the expense of industry.

Category: Environmental

Industry Affected: Fishing

Proposed by: Camerra

Establishing: That the nemo depletion industry(Trout Fishing industry) cruelly tricks innocent, uneducated fish into biting a large hook which is quite painful, there by securing their fate as dinner.
Noting: That other methods are used such as nets which confine an unoffending fish to prison and afterward they are cold bloodedly executed and again served as dinner or gutted and used as wall decors.
Also noting: That fish are also caught with nets or other devilish devices, bagged and sentenced to slavery and stared at all day as some kids pet.
Stating: That murdered fish carcases are often thrown back into the sea, damaging the environment beauty.
Realizing: That the above practices are despicable, cowardly, violate basic fish rights and are down right evil.
The General Assembly hereby bans any WA nation from taking part in any Fishing whatsoever.

Contradiction, or joke proposal. You decide.
Everything you know about me is wrong. Or a rumor. Something like that.

Both; also the "nemo depletion" reference counts as either Meta-gaming or a RL reference.

Ban Anime
A resolution to restrict political freedoms in the interest of law and order.

Category: Political Stability

Strength: Significant

Proposed by: Topoliani

Appalled at the dropping Birth Rates due to Anime

Concerned that the lack of Sexual Self-Control due to Anime may cause the extinction of many cultures if not nations

This Bill, Hereby Enforces the banning of Eastern Cartoons so that a mass extinction of many nations will not occur.

Joke Proposal. At least I hope it is a joke proposal.

It has been discarded as a Joke Proposal... and also declared illegal for Category incorrect, Strength incorrect, and RL reference (i.e. anime being "Eastern").

Reduction Of Carbon Emissions In Business
A resolution to increase the quality of the world's environment, at the expense of industry.

Category: Environmental

Industry Affected: All Businesses - Mild

Proposed by: Pafrusal

It has become known that the world is quite polluted in the name of big business. Therefore, this resolution:

Acknowledging that the world has become polluted and much environmental beauty has been lost.

Accepting that this will not change without agreement between countries.

Proposing that all countries have set limits required upon all businesses that regulate the amount of carbon emissions from them.

Does nothing

Repeal: “Safeguarding Nuclear Materials”
A resolution to repeal previously passed legislation.

Category: Repeal

Resolution: GA#418

Proposed by: Pafrusal

General Assembly Resolution #418 “Safeguarding Nuclear Materials” (Category: International Security; Strength: Mild) shall be struck out and rendered null and void.

“Nuclear weapons are unique in their destructive power, in the unspeakable human suffering they cause, in the impossibility of controlling their effects in space and time, and in the threat they pose to the environment, to future generations, and indeed to the survival of humanity.” – International Committee of the Red Cross, 2010

“Climate change may be the global policy issue that has captured most attention in the last decade, but the problem of nuclear weapons is at least its equal in terms of gravity – and much more immediate in its potential impact.” – International Commission on Nuclear Non-Proliferation and Disarmament, 2009

When it comes to nuclear weapons, there are no safe groups to have a nuke. So long as any country has these weapons, others will want them, and the world will be in a precarious state. Unless we eliminate nuclear weapons, they will almost certainly be used again, either intentionally or by accident, and the consequences will be catastrophic. Any use of these weapons would violate moral and international law because they would indiscriminately kill civilians and cause long-term environmental harm. It could and should be classified as terrorism to use a nuclear weapon.

The building and safeguarding of nuclear weapons takes lots of money away from welfare and education.

Blogerific, and chock full of RW references.

Reducing Unfair Influence On Changing Trade Policies

A resolution to reduce barriers to free trade and commerce.

Category: Free Trade

Strength: Significant

Proposed by: Uhh Meincrat

Accepting that any individual nation has the right to try to persuade other nations to change it's trade policies to come more in line with said nation's own policy on trade for the improvement of diplomatic/economic relations.

Desiring for nations with power in their respective regions (e.g World Assembly delegate, Minister of Finance) should not be able to use their upper level of influence in said region to unwillingly change another nation's policy/agenda on trade through (for example, but not limited to) bribing, while also remembering that smaller nations are capable of executing the same acts, so not to disregard them in the process.

Believing that the best way to ensure freedom in trade is eliminate any abuse of power from nations in order to unwillingly change another nation's trade policy.

Hereby,

1) In due course the International Commission on Trade Policy Changes (ICTPC) should be set up in order to investigate suspicious changes in trade policy.

2) Recognising that the ICTPC should always act professionally and treat all investigations and internal affairs with seriousness.

3) Asserting that the ICTPC can set it's own rules and regulations on how it carries out it's investigations as long as the rules and regulations make the commission act professionally and without any internal abuse of power for personal gain etc.

4) Setting that the ICTPC's main goals are to:

i) Eliminate any abuse of power from nations in order to unwillingly change another nation's trade policy (Aforementioned above).
ii) Discourage nations from unwillingly changing another nation's trade policy, while also educating them on the consequences of doing so.
iii) Create a safe trading environment free of abuse and unfair influence.
5) Remembering that the ICTPC should not discourage nations from changing their trade policy legitimately, as this could harm the commission's reputation and the worldwide economic environment.

6) Assuring that action should be taken if a nation is found guilty of unfair influence, judging the severity of the act and series of events leading up to the incident to make a fair call on the action taken.

7) Reminding that trying to change another nation's economic policy unwillingly in revenge for a previous grievance should have no impact on the investigation that follows, yet the action taken (If the nation is found guilty of unfair influence) can be modified due to the previous events.

taking into consideration that the internet would not have efficient ways of restricting content, in this is a good side, the content.
With the internet we could be aware of everything from cake recipes to political scandals. Basically, in this factor, we can realize that the internet is a valuable tool both for staff, both for a nation.

its good utilization can reveal great discoveries, ensuring in this way, a free choice of the subject.

The internet can propagate government acts

From awareness campaigns to news about the country itself ... The internet can help develop the intellectual of anyone who uses it ... In addition to that, in some cases it gets to the point of becoming a JOB.

The internet can not suppress you

It is more than true, the internet is the starting point of global knowledge. This is not limited to news stories, but news from outside the national field.

The internet can be a small engine for national income

Several virtual stores and trade options are available, it is up to the capitalization to know how to use them.

Enforce Government controlled diets

A resolution to improve worldwide human and civil rights.

Category: Human Rights

Strength: Strong

Proposed by: AGGARNA

Make them eat what the government decides. This is to keep the people strong preventing skinny or fat people to roam this once beautiful planet. Approvals: 0
GenSec Status: LEGAL

Status: Lacking Support (requires 85 more approvals)

Voting Ends: in 3 days 9 hours

This is never ever Human Rights. It is Moral Decency. Wrong Category. It gives the government power over the choices of the people.

Anti-Bullying Act
A resolution to improve worldwide human and civil rights.

Category: Human Rights

Strength: Mild

Proposed by: United States 16

Whereas students in every country have the right to be treated equally.
Whereas students in every country shall have the right of protection against bullying, sexual harassers, and cyberbullying.
Whereas students in every country have the right of equal education and learning oppurtunities.

---
Resolved within the Chambers Assembled

That last "whereas" would appear to make it duplication of A Promotion of Basic Education. The other two don't do much of anything.

INCREASING SECURITY TERMS FOR WEAPONS POSSESSION
A resolution to tighten or relax gun control laws.

Category: Gun Control

Decision: Tighten

Proposed by: Fetra

Since not all nations have laws on legitimate weapons control, since civilians need a certainty, Fetra's legislature internationally proposes a check on the complete legitimacy of possession and the carrying of firearms , or other types of weapons , for civilians.

The main idea is to submit at the time of purchase of a firearm, or whatever weapon it is, by a citizen, to a careful test on the legitimacy of the citizen to own a weapon.
Based on the fact that: who has a criminal record, who has the face of a murderer, who commits contradictions during the test, who belongs to organized crime , who had the idea of organizing any crime and who has mental psyche problems, to NOT own a weapon, whatever it is, and to let it belong only to honest citizens with the simple intention of protecting their homes and family

So for this reason we conclude all in simple points :

- recognizing that: banning weapons, will take away the right of self-defense and will facilitate the free entry of thieves into the home of citizens

-pointing out that: not all people who possess weapons are psychotic killers, but also house-keepers who want to protect their family

-adding that: obviously we must make sure that the individual is suitable to own a weapon by controlling mental health and any previous crimes committed with weapons

-stating that: not everyone therefore has to possess weapons, but that some legitimate people must have this right

-with the precedents it is stated that: each state must check that no criminal , or person without the legitimate right , possesses a weapon, but affirm and grant the main right to be able to defend with weapons the own house , only for a civil and honest person with the sole intention of feeling safe and protect their family. We must confirm that every weapon sold today or granted to a free citizen is required to confirm a special government health status license, good intentions and purity of mind to ensure a free, but controlled use of weapons whatever they are.

Prohibit Hazing
A resolution to improve worldwide human and civil rights.

Category: Human Rights

Strength: Significant

Proposed by: Fetra

The practice that consists in humiliating or subjugating a "newcomer" in a place such as the militia, the university or the job is called "hazing".

hazing causes serious damage to its victims, while the perpetrators of violence remain unpunished.

From this we understand how the law is sometimes unjust, or simply incomplete.
The law must instead provide substantial help and protection to victims of hazing and prevent this acts, simply by punishing the perpetrators of violence

So with this law you want to outlaw the hazing and punish the authors, for the respect of innocent victims with physical, psychological damage, or death as a problem. Overpowered by the bullies who cause these serious and unpunished damages, they should be punished and should be dismissed this ignorant , cruel , and insane practice, since no one who is already in a militia, a university or a job can afford to insult, hurt, or humiliate another person who has just arrived in that place.

With this law therefore:

- the practice called hazing is outlawed.

-The victims will be compensated by the agressors.

-The authors of hazing, towards anyone, will be punished seriously.

Not really seeing this as "significant"

Improve Democracy

Require Nations To Have Rehabilitation Centers

A resolution to modify universal standards of healthcare.

Category: Health

Area of Effect: Healthcare

Proposed by: Romanovano

Many countries have very lax or non existent drug laws, with this proposal we can ensure that those that abuse narcotics and alcohol can get help, if they so desire.

With this proposal we can prevent countless overdoses and deaths.

This is not a proposal to ban drug use or enact more regulation; this is just to help those negatively affected by drugs that are unable to help themselves.

I implore you to take into consideration this proposal and help to pass it through.
