Unfortunately, the Hand doesn't seem much comforted by Milkus's reassurances - in its mind, all that has been confirmed is that the hivemind is at least capable of eating people, even if it doesn't do that. Though the Hand says nothing, it does emit a low whine; why, oh why, oh why did it have to be one of the Hands for the World Assembly delegation?

On the other hand (lowercase), the Mouth is simply fascinated. "That sounds like quite the sight to see," the Mouth says in a tone of awe. "Sam -, erm, Hand..." The Mouth truly hopes the other, far more boring Hand didn't hear its use of a name for Sam. "...You are lucky to have this opportunity!"

The Hand did not agree.

"And to think that your face may not even be seen," the Mouth says, crossing its arms and nodding once. "It would appear that the Dominion's earlier concern over that matter was rather unnecessary."

The Hand crossed its own arms, hugging itself; it still didn't like the prospect of removing its hood when around anyone.

"And this cactus is part of the hivemind, you say?" The Mouth steps closer to it and nods in greeting. "It has been the pleasure of the Dominion to become further acquainted with its fellow member state, Potted Plants United."

"The cactus is unable to respond, of course," Johan Milkus said, "but the hivemind obviously likes your nation; otherwise it wouldn't have moved straight into long-term trade deals like it did. Three days from now, a speaker plant will come to fetch the Hand in the morning - the exact time will be messaged later - and bring a table-top version of itself in exchange. I wish you good communications."

Valeera is at the bar having a mixed drink made for herself and is humming the song "Cyanide."

Three days from now, a speaker plant will come to fetch the Hand in the morning - the exact time will be messaged later - and bring a table-top version of itself in exchange. I wish you good communications."

"Potted Plants United likes Liagolas, does it?" The Mouth stares at the cactus for a long moment, uncertain of what to think. The Mouth was not very used to hearing that nation's liked Liagolas; after all, the Dominion's collectivism was eerie and struck most people as evil. Potted Plants United, however, seemed to either not care about that or at least look ready to look past it. Based on the comments from the hivemind that Milkus had conveyed, Potted Plants United seemed interested in the hive-mentality of Liagolas, so perhaps it was a sense of kinship over a shared quality?

The Mouth just shrugs, smiles, and says, "If you cannot respond, then conversation will just have to wait for three days time. The Dominion shall make all necessary preparations and will contact Potted Plants United with any other pertinent information." It turns to Milkus and extends a hand to shake. "A good day to you and to Potted Plants United."

Feeling overwhelmed from so much happening at once, the Hand-called-Sam sits down at the bar; not to drink anything (well, maybe - NO - but maybe just a little), but just to rest, and it happens to end up next to Valeera. Valeera didn't much mind the projection.

Johan shook hands with the Liagosian. "A good day to you and the Dominion as well," he said. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to go find miss Leveret to relay the hivemind's trade plans to my home nation. She'll handle it better when she hears it from me."

With a nod in the Sam-Hand's direction, Johan made a small bow at the Mouth and then headed out of the Bar.

OOC: I love what we've set up, and in general the chance to get to RP the hivemind beyond IC comments made in drafting threads. Thank you for that chance!

Not too long after Johan Milkus had exited, Janis entered. She had a thick wad of printed out documents in her hand, and sat at the bar counter with them.

"My usual, please, Neville," she said and started to read the topmost print. When her fortified hot cocoa arrived, she sipped it absent-mindedly, still scanning through the paperwork. **Johan really wasn't kidding when he said the hivemind was mobilizing everything for this trade deal,** she thought in the privacy of her head. **And Araraukar's going to have to go along - backing away from our deal with it would be too big a loss for us.**

OOC: In the interests of ending this, I shall recant everything. I've been very defensive over something quite trivial having given myself time to actually think about it. I saw all of this and my brain just went into the mentality of "They say do this or they'll ruin you." I'm not sure if it's my personal mindset or what. I've always been defensive irl though...sorry everyone.

IC: Valeera threw a childish tantrum and walked back in. She had her device set up again and reactivated it. After the glyph flashed on screen, the projection materialized again, though it appeared the tigress had been talking to someone.
"...and that was why we militarized the station. Armarli is a major industrial-" Realizing she'd been summoned again, she cut herself off. "And what is the matter now? You severed my connection to their facility, Councilor."

"So I brought you back...I am still a wee bit miffed though. You understand...I hope. They're debating sending troops across the multiverse now saying security on their few parcels of land is lax."

"More troops in my galaxy? The Ecumene is not defenseless."

"It violates a few of their earlier precious laws. I gave them a Nay vote."

"I take it you've had a cleansing session. I think they missed a rock in one of the treads though." He continues, gazing at the Volkswagen's front-left (from Pink's perspective) tire.

Parsons walks into the Bar, looking tired. He asks for a glass of wine and goes over the jukebox (OOC: Is there one? There is one now.) and puts on some Berlioz. After downing the glass and getting through a copy of the Financial Times, he picks up a copy of the 75th edition of RexisQuexis and hand-delivers it to the OMGTKK offices.

After being asked to leave by that one guy who serves the sapient plant overlords, Cornelia Schultz exited the bar, returning to the debate chambers, presumably.

An indeterminate period of time later, the Mouth suffered from a horrible cough and a cut video feed, leading to Schultz following the Hand Called Sam by Maybe Three People Ever towards the Mouth's chambers.

Somewhere in the WA HQ

Schultz followed after the Hand, speaking rapidly into her wrist datatab. On the other end of the channel, the head of the Excidian WA Office Security was speaking a lot less frantically.

"Look, all I know is that the Mouth was sick, looked in bad shape for someone whose face is always cloaked, and a bunch of strange Liagosians I didn't recognize showed up to drag... er... it? Away. And the screen cut out.

"What? How do I know I didn't recognize them if their faces were covered? Look, there's only three of them here ever, one is the Mouth, one is right here with me, and the other one is certainly not all of the Liagosians that showed up in the video feed.

"What do I want you to do about it? What do you think I want you to do!? Show up at the g**d*** Mouth's chambers! Look, at best he- it's dying of some disease that you could possibly treat. At worst, we are looking at kidnapping by the Liagolas government for expression of individuality. No, I'm not overreacting! I am an Ambassador!

"This is a new one for me - I tend not to go for brown ales, but every so often it really hits the spot, 'specially if they hop it up a little bit. This particular brewery's never steered me wrong in the past; I dunno about takin' it on a military campaign, but it's a helluva tasty thing to have on leave."

She takes another, smaller sip.

"When the pre-Lyrical resettlement expedition founded New Bawstin back in... what, '56? My history's a little weak. Anyway, first thing they did was build a brewery. Supposedly 'Oceanspear' is a reference to a famous pre-Flood brewing outfit in the same area. Eh... bit overfond o' their history, those Bawstiners, but they make a damn good beer. You want one?"

The entire Wallenburgian delegation--including the reclusive Deputy Representative Arthur Holt--enters the bar. Ogenbond wears a wide smile as he sits down.

"Mr. Chamberlain, something for everyone! Put it all on my office!"

Mikael, Gerald, and Holt begin to talk amongst each other. Holt glances around the unfamiliar bar, observing the other ambassadors. He smiles at Ambassador Schultz and waves his hand before returning to conversation with his friends.

"Ah, I see mister Ogdenburg¹ is determined to ruin his nation's economy," Janis remarked dryly and ordered another cocoa for herself.

¹ OOC EDIT: She gets that wrong intentionally, though not maliciously.

OOC: Milkus never asked your ambassador to leave, he just wanted to talk to the Mouth, and I think the Mouth's still waiting for Schultz's reply at the Bar. It distorts time, you know, so things happen at different speeds in and out of it.

OOC: NS rather than II for non-war RP. At least that's what I was told to use for in-WAHQ roleplay that wasn't happening in the Bar. Of course, if it's going to be non-friendly non-war incident, then II is probably the best place.
