Good for you, but what about the other sapients here who aren't human? Not every WA nation has human or only human citizenry.Recognizing that this needs to be protected this proposal sets out to make rules for space activity.
"This needs to be protected", what needs to be protected? And you don't say "this proposal wants to do this", instead you say "the WA does this". (OOC: I swear that "Description" line has tripped more new authors than anything else in GA.)1. All colonizes in space owned by a world assembly nation is owed by every world assembly nation.
What the fuck are you talking about, man? Um, ma'am? Other? If you build a house with your own money, why should it belong to the government? Similarly, if a nation builds something with its own money for its own use, why should any greater bureaucratic whole suddenly own it? You won't find any support for this idea, I can assure you. This would make sure that space empires do not put limitation on world wide space activity.
...you've obviously not heard of the fact that not all nations reside even in the same universe as everyone else, nevermind the same planet. If your planet has an issue with a space empire, it won't be solved with a WA resolution, as that space empire could leave WA, flatten your planet and then rejoin WA.2. Corporations or any other business can not own any part of space. This is to make sure that businesses don't exploit space.
Ah, so you're an idealist. Personally I may agree with that, but in many other nations private businesses are what drives space exploration (OOC: like right now in real life as well), and some nations have no space programs of their own, while other nations are space nations, where owning an asteroid may be as normal as owning your own clothes is to you. So if corporations or other businesses are allowed to owh "space" (OOC: you'll need better definitions, btw) already, you're really going to have a hard time selling this idea to them.3. No test harming space colonizes or uncolonized planets may accrue. This is to make sure that space is safe for other non-harming test that may accrue.
"Test harming"? Also, I don't think accrue means what you think it means.4. World Assembly nation will not wage wars with non-World Assembly nations in space. This rule will make sure that World Assembly nations will not destroy space.
...I'm fairly sure you can count with the fingers of one hand the WA nations who can destroy "space". If you mean empty space between the subatomic particles, that is. If you mean the universe, then you'll probably need both hands to count them. Depending on how many fingers per hand your species of human has, of course. (OOC: Definitions are your friend. Vague language is not.)5. Space technology will be shared between World Assembly nations. This will make sure that no nation in the World Assembly has a upper and against ay other World Assembly nation.
OOC: Not everyone plays as though their nations is on Earth and modern tech level. Some nations are thousands, or tens of thousands, if not more, years ahead technologically, some may be the same amount behind. Not only will you have trouble convincing anyone ICly that this would be a good idea, you also can't force people to change their roleplayed tech level.Separatist Peoples wrote:"We absolutely refuse to share any holdings of the Confederate Dominion, be they in space or otherwise. Tell me, Mr. Donut, is that your personal opinion, again? Or actually your nation's official stance this time? It's so hard to know with you.

"With respect, other civilized species exist; ideally, the wording should reflect this fact rather than focusing on any one space-faring species. Just a quibble, really. Not that it seems likely to pass, honestly. Secondly, as has already been pointed out, there are massive gaps (technologically and otherwise) between various civilizations, many of which have no space-exploration capabilities. All the distinct cultures of the less technically capable peoples would run significant risk of outright destruction if idea-sharing were forced and, depending on how extreme the gaps might be, some could end up worshipping the peoples of other nations, a state of affairs that is extraordinarily open to abuse of all kinds."

Meta-gaming is a difficult to understand category at times, especially since it often shares jurisdiction with Game Mechanics violations. Essentially, a MetaGaming violation is one that breaks "the fourth wall", or attempts to force events outside of the WA itself.
Examples of meta-gaming:
Requiring the Security Council to take certain action
Forcing WA legislation on non-member nations
Mandating actions to be taken by regions
Requiring Moderators to perform specific actions
Mandating actions on the forums
