[DRAFT] Repeal Medical Blockade Restriction

Going to post this pre-emptively to have it edited and so on and hopefully get rid of the proposal currently about to be passed ASAP.

Repeal "Medical Blockade Restriction"
A resolution to repeal previously passed legislation

Category: Repeal
Resolution: GA#74*
Proposed by: Barrettstia

Description: WA General Assembly Resolution #74*: Medical Blockade Restriction (Category: Free Trade) shall be struck out and rendered null and void.

Argument:
SUPPORTING the principles behind Medical Blockade Restriction,

AGREEING that medial supplies should not be prevented from reaching those that need them,

RECOGNISING that the tactic of blockading is necessary in the resolution of conflicts, hostilities and other forms of unrest,

CONCERNED that the wording of Medical Blockade restriction allows it to be exploited by those with militaristic intent,

The World Assembly hereby,

1. Repeals Medical Blockade Restriction, and

2. Supports the drafting of a better worded proposal with similar principles.

* #74 being the number the resolution will have when it becomes effective.

What do you think so far. Of course, it'll only be submitted if the current proposal actually passes but given what the vote is like at the moment it looks like it's going to.

Meh, looks like someone else is trying to push through their own version so I'll leave it up to them even though the thing looks even more badly worded than the original resolution.

For now I'm debating whether or not just quite the WA in protest (again :P) or totally ignore this resolution.

If you're referring to the thread I created on the subject (which given I don't see anything else), I have abandoned the effort there thanks to Grays Harbor, who provided me clear evidence that the loophole I was concerned with wasn't a loophole at all and was indeed covered by another resolution, which was linked to earlier in this thread. Given that, I had no real reason to disapprove of the resolution, let alone want to carry forward my repeal proposal.

So if someone does want to have this repealed, they need to prompt the action with their own work.
WA Delegate of One Big Island, a region where resolutions are read in full and thought about before we vote.
