Well, if you're trying to be Ultra-technical, let me beat you at it.
It is a Democractic Republic...the only thing that makes it seem less democratic than what it ought to be is that it is a Bourgeois Democracy. What do I mean by 'Bourgeois Democracy'? Electoral college, rich representative that were essentially 'trained' their entire lives to be picture perfect liars, and all of their power is derived from higher end corporations that fund them in return for BJ's. You cannot have a Republic without some form of Democracy.

It'll ween itself out eventually. When a person brings up 'every country should be a democracy', one should expect an argument like this to come up. There's no use in squaking over it anyhow. The probability of people in the argument listening is microscopic, so it is a wasted effort to squak over it. Just start a different subject if you hate it so much. It isn't difficult.

Every nation should entirely abandon democracy. Our glorious nation and the mighty Alliance of Dictators have shown numerous times that totalitarian principles are the key to success. Democracy is a doomed political system, for the vast majority of people are simply too stupid and/or ignorant to know what's best for them (or their nation).

A ture benevolent dictatorship with an enlightened, all-powerful ruler is the only true form of government. Democracy is only a little better than anarchy. A democratic system will always be riddled with inefficient bureaucracy and weak leaders.

The will of the people is irrelevant - the only thing that matters is the need!

Firstly, I never stated that they had, I stated it was LIKE stating such. And though politics and economics are different subjects, they go hand in hand. You can only go up the spectrum of success half way with a powerful government, but it doesn't entirely mean that one is legitimately 'successful'.
