Well, if it is a religion that's against prostitution then it will not effect them. They will be against it and everything would remain the same. But remember, not all religions are against prostitution.

If you get the proper protection you will be fine from diseases and unwanted pregnancies.

So it should be forced but your ok with people still outlawing it? WHAT?!

It isn't forced. Think about it, if a society is so against it then no one would dare do it. Everything would remain the same. What do you mean with people outlawing it? No I am not.

Then whats the point in having a WA proposal legalizing prostitution if other can disobey it?

By not becoming a prostitute, you aren't disobeying it.

This is about national laws about stuff, not individual choices.

I would, if I knew how. :(

Well, allow me to explain how I break up the quote boxes (which personally I prefer to using color tags because if several people all do that then the posts start to get a little on the Garish side and you don't want that). I read through the post and when I get to a point I wish to respond to I put the [/quote] tag there and type my reply. Then I either copy the original quote tag (i.e. the one at the beginning of the post I'm replying to) and paste it where the other person's words resume or just put the [quote] tag there.

Why oh why oh why have you submitted this proposal?

Do our opinions not matter? Does the poll not matter?

How the hell did this thread get 1133 replies in 10 days? This subject really doesn't warrant that much attention. :?

You and I both know it's like the abortion issue; it polarises sides and it kicks up a crap storm. Prostitution hasn't come up for about 2 years though, so I think that's why it's getting so many comments.

Still there? Hmph.

I'm still curious to hear a response to this?

Well, in the event that it fails, we will not continue to support it unless loopholes are closed.

I'm only quibbling over the difference between intent and unintended side effects. Though mind you, the side effects are a perfectly valid reason in themselves for rejecting the proposal, so I'm happy to just leave it at that. I hope the debate is as exhausted as the debaters are now?

I think you are misunderstood. What I meant was that this resolution doesn't forceyou to become a prostitution. If a individual or even a whole society does not like prostitution then this will not effect them. They wont become a prostitution and there may not be a lot of prostitutes in that particular nation.
