I honestly don't see how Pre-School will keep kids in school longer. Perhaps you'd like to explain further?

Also, the proposal does nothing. It just encourages. Why should I approve of a proposal that just encourages? It's got no teeth. Try and give it some, then we'll talk, though I'll probably pull out my NatSov card. This really shouldn't be here.

Resolves: World educational problems... and that's it? Basically operating clauses will be needed for a resolution to work.

The idea is good but you dont answer how this will keep kids in school longer.

Pre school isnt expensive so why are we proposing that the government must pay for it?

This proposed resolution is too broad in its coverage. Yes, in theory it is a sound idea to fund pre-school, but this resolution makes no effort to spell out obligation or anything. It's pretty non-binding in nature. We do not support this.

We'd be opposed because this would create an unfunded mandate concerning pre-school education....that is, if the proposal did anything at all. Either way, it's a no for us.

The government of The Babbage Islands expresses its unconditional opposition to both the draft and the proposed mandate behind it.

Though I support universal access to education at all levels, this is a weak resolution and does absolutely nothing. Revise the draft, otherwise the Republic of Ezuela will be forced to vote against the resolution.
