WA Eradication Act

Category: Human Rights
Strength: Strong
Proposed by: Doichlogs

The Adopted Nations of the World Assembly,

NOTING that the World Assembly has failed to spectacularly implode in a colossal fireball of extra-dimensional inanity; but

REMEMBERING that the copy-protected United Nations before it achieved just that; yet

BELIEVING that both the United Nations and its successor the World Assembly have molded into a gargantuan bureaucracy-choked morass;

FURTHER NOTING that the collectivist heathens who dominate the current World Assembly are on a interminable path toward abolishing national sovereignty while maintaining a perfect model of fiscal irresponsibility;

FURTHER BELIEVING that though the possibilities of this proposal making it to the floor are slim, the idea is thoroughly justified;

FURTHER FURTHERING that in order to ensure the continued survival of sentient life, the demise of the World Assembly must be achieved;

HEREBY

1. DISBANDS the World Assembly;

2. OBLITERATES all previously passed UN Resolutions and WA Resolutions so that citizens of today may be free from the horrors that were the previous governing bodies of our world;

3. ABOLISHES the barbaric practice of requiring "WA status" in order to participate in regional politics, and instead institutes a “Single-Politician” account policy;

4. DECLARES the pages of international law to be blank;

5. STATES that from this day forward THIS RULE and only THIS rule shall have jurisdiction over the sovereign nations of Nation States.

If only it were that simple.

I like it, but it's certain to be deleted as it is patently illegal for game mechanics violations. Nevertheless I salute you for your effort.

IMPOSSIBLE!! Metagaming, game mechanics and you are BARKING MAD about disbanding the WA. Your proposal even contradicts itself
1. DISBANDS the World Assembly

*snip*

4. DECLARES the pages of international law to be blank;

5. STATES that from this day forward THIS RULE and only THIS rule shall have jurisdiction over the sovereign nations of Nation States

This resolution will not be implemented because a) there will be no international law (as said in clause 4); and b) there will be no WA nations to implement this on

Those are listed in a certain order for a reason. International aw is wiped blank, and afterward the solo rule is established. It makes perfect sense if you understand chronology.

Also all this discussion about it changing mechanics. I understand where you'd get that, but the only thing it does to change gameplay is puts you in a "Single-Politician" category instead of a "WA member" category. That's not mechanics, that's appearance.

You cannot just "declare the pages of international law are blank". That is what the repeals are for. This is not a repeal. It is an illegal game function change.

That is different as the UN had been shattered and therefore the pages of international law were blank already. It was only to emphasize that point. Besides, the resolution is irrepealable (if there's such a word). Therefore this is illegal because it contradicts WA Resolution #1 "The World Assembly" and it's not a repeal.

P.P.S It is mechanics as a function of the game has to change. Even if it wasn't mechanics, metagaming is illegal. WA resolutions can only be applied to WA nations only, but the last clause says "...shall have jurisdiction over the sovereign nations of NationStates".

OOC: The re-naming didn't actually have to include sweeping away all of the resolutions that then existed, good ones as well as bad, that was just how Max (to my regret) chose to word the proposal/resolution in question... :(

Then it's a category violation. The first WA resolution was "Bookkeeping: Sweeping". Unless a WA Eradication Act can be classified as such... :lol:

If only this was the first time some bright spark has come up with this idea. It's still illegal, games mechanics, and Bloody Stupid to boot since you are trying to disband the WA through a WA resolution.

There's also the "format" violation (aka Maybe This Fits, Then) and the "unworthy of the WA's consideration" violation (aka Whaaaa? Wha' he say? )

But I got this one under the Unspeakable Proposal Violation. We can't tell you what it is, because it's just ... unspeakable. But it sure is a proposal violation, ohhhhh yeah!
