Ibelive that he has an good chance of becomeing the gop front runner. He is not a normal politcal person. He also has great charisma that would be good against Obama .

Unlikely. He's an unknown, and there are still some real contender's in the field... and possibly some big names still coming.

That, and he's got as much personality as a fish. So... slightly more than Pawlenty. But it's not enough.

Probably not. The guy has never held any kind of public office, so he has no experience to speak of. At least Obama did one term as a senator before becoming president.

I would say he needs more than just a good showing at the 'no-one' debate, but he could have that 'come from nowhere' appeal (though it would be weird to watch the Democrats have to talk about a lack of experience and the Republicans insisting that experience doesn't matter...). There is a lot of dissatisfaction with the presumed front runners which opens the field for a 'spoiler'...though again, he's had one good day.

He may have never held any politicle office ,yet he is indeed a politician. Check the 1994 rally with Bill Clinton in Omaha NE he may have never held office but he is a true businessman and has been a fedral banker in Kansas City.

He's basically a nobody. Outspoken positions against abortion - even in cases of rape and incest, opposition to universal healthcare, a political also-ran of several seasons. He's a deep South mouthpiece for Fox, that hits a lot of the extreme fascist fringe erogenous zones.

What it all seems to boil down to, though... is he probably wouldn't be getting any media attention if he was white.

You may want to know he is joining a debate on June 13 with big names like Mitt Romeny and Ron paul.

Since when did expressing an opinion - even loudly, to the President - make you a politician?

By the same marker, Joe the Plumber should run.

There is one man who deserves to be president whether you agree with him or not. Ron Paul is probably the most honest, principled politician on the planet.

Just as a tip, if you want to reply to a post someone made, press the quote button on the top right of the screen.
Like right now, I have no idea if you just said that as a response to the previous poster, or to someone else, or to no-one at all.

Uh...yeah...I'm not sure why I 'may want to know' something that is kind of obvious...perhaps you didn't understand what I said...I was not suggesting that he was going to base the entire rest of his campaign on that one day, not sure why you would think that, but hey, here we are...rather I was suggesting that all he's had to this point is that one day where he did surprisingly well against a line up of people no one gave a crap about. He had a good day in the minors, it's not time to give him the MVP trophy. Yes, I fully expect him to be at the other debates as well (who would think "Hey, I'll only show up to the debate no one cares about, that's a recipe for success..."?) the idea is in the larger field can he sustain success or (as many people expect) red meat rhetoric not really going to sustain the man for a lengthy campaign.

I honestly don't think it's that this time. It was that debate that Fox had more or less resigned to being a Pawlenty introduction when their focus group went goofy on them. Fox had set up an interview half as long as the debate itself with Pawlenty afterwards with the assurances that this was going to secure him as a front runner but instead that focus group, who hadn't heard of the guy for the most part before hand, all responded to Cain. That's when he became news, when he was the surprise 'winner' on what was more or less supposed to be a scripted evening.

I thought more people would have known of him if they watched the news or GOP debates.

I may as well ask are you all republican or democrats ?
