Description: The United Kingdom has gone a long time without the right to bare arms and their crime rate happens to be lower than the United States. The 2nd Amendment was only passed in the US Constitution due to Native American attacks. The US used to be dangerous due to wild animals and Native American tribes. If people weren't allowed to have guns, we wouldn't need guns to defend ourselves from people with guns, it's common sense. Please vote yes to stop all the violence.

The World Assembly hereby bans all firearms from possession of the public.

In NS the UK and US do not exist. Besides being extremly illegal and it doesn't say anything other than basically you should approve this, it wouldn't get any support becuase your asking guns to be banned entirely. How would there be wars? And the constitution doesn't exist either.

OOC: While the information presented is actually true it incorporates real world events, and nations, thus making it extremely illegal. Besides, I don't think that many nations would support this. Because these kinds of resolutions only affect member nations, nad we're only a small part of NS, many citizens could still have firearms, and we would be sitting ducks.
In short, don't try to restrict the right to protect ourselves from the non-WA wackos.

The people who are telling you what's wrong with your proposal are trying to help you. If you submit an illegal proposal (especially after you've been told it's illegal) you may be warned or (If you do it enough) have your nation kicked out of the WA. If you intend to continue playing the GA, you will have to learn to take advice graciously.

Your proposal is illegal because it mentions real world nations, a real-world document and real-world events. Read the Proposals sticky written by The Most Glorious Hack. The proposal is metagaming. DO NOT submit it as-is. It will be killed in the queue long before it reaches quorum. It will not come to discussion. It will not, in this wording, ever be At Vote. Listen to people's suggestions for imrovement and make the changes they urge on you.

In this forum, you are assumed to be in character (IC). So what you have presented us with is an ambassador making odd references to something that doesn't exist, and apparently trying to carry on a serious argument about ownership of guns in some fictional state. It's like having someone stand up in the real-world UN and seriously argue that the Twilight vampires are a threat to world peace.
