Post your interest in RPing a "World Cup" like match....Maximum 16 players. I will be the host of the game, and will decide who wins it.

What will you use to scorinate it? Will there be an RP bonus? Will you use the KPB rankings as a rank bonus? Where will the tournament be held? Is it single-elimination or group/knockout stages?

It is a single person elimination match, but there is just a 1 game "warm up match" essentially. Like a qualifier only it doesn't count for anything. Then the tourny begins. The winner (which will be chosen using a mixture of things on my part) is not chosen completely at random, and the winner will receive bragging rights and for a....trophy.....

This doesn't seem to be that kind of sports RP cc. He intends to roleplay a single game, back and forth with the participants. Like play by play.

sorry, I misinterperated. It is held like the world cup. 4 teams of 4 players. each nation of a team faces everyone of the same team, and the top 2 nations are determined from all 4 teams. Then, it is 1vs.1 knock out rounds to the championship.

Ok...it doesn't seem like that from the description. You might want to use a scorinator if you are going to be hosting a world cup style event. Of course, other methods are accepted, but you can't just "choose the winner" yourself at the end.

No offence, but in this forum, a 'mixture of things on your part' isn't considered a good scorinator.Things don't really work like that around here, you might want to have a look at this. If you want to run a tournament you should probably download a scorinator like NSFS 3 or xkoranate if you are more experienced with XML and such.

It's not that new things are discouraged, not by a long shot. But why would people want to participate in a tournament where a single person just decides the results out of thin air?

The World Cup is also being held around this time, so I doubt people would want to participate in an event like this now.

Try doing this around March?
