I think it's too early to start laying claims. There is a lot to figure out provided Civil Citizenry wants to do this, which I'm 99.9% sure he does.

Calm down, Hossaim. As Erathore said, I'm fully interested in getting this off the ground, but there's a lot of preparation for something of this magnitude. This concept is still in its earliest stages. But I'm glad to see you're excited about this and willing to help.

All the feedback is great. I wsepecially like Erathore's idea, which got me thinking about a weekly 1 or even 1.5 hour show with a bunch of different features. As an example, this week we could have a special on the World Cup, one on how teams are dealing with the WLC delay (which could be RPd as a major weather problem), one on the sport of beach soccer, and an analyst speaking about the RUWC.

Yeah, I like this - but it really would have to be a weekly thing - and perhaps at the weekend, when people (normally) have time off. If it was like SportsCenter (which sounds like a sort of talk show - I wouldn't know, living in England - don't call me English though, everyone always assumes so..!), it'd have to be detailed, and we'd need to all be in almost constant contact with one another - if we were willing to contribute.

If we got a core of members, I think this'd work very well.

EDIT: Just had a thought - if we were doing this IC'ly, we could also have a 'Fanbase' feature - where we have someone call in as a fan of their team, and they talk about how they're doing - this is something I could do for the RUWC - as my nation is hosting it, although it is only an idea, and anyone could do it.

With 90 minutes to fill, there would be a lot of time for a wide variety of pieces. I really like Mytannion's idea of a "fan" calling in to express support for a team, plus there's Erathore's Player Profile thing. There are enough tournaments that go on to have 5-10 minutes for a bunch of analysts to come on and let me and/or others ask questions. I also think that for the World Cup and Olympics, we can have some extra features, maybe a roundtable discussion and so on.

I also want to set up a system so that if I'm unavailable to host some week, there are people to fill in. My schedule is fluid enough that it's impossible for me to block out 1.5 hours of time on any day.

For a project this, you have to look at more than just yourself. Granted, you did come up with the idea and thus you get some leeway because of that. But, you also have to look at the bigger picture and that is for the majority of people, the weekend would be much more preferable. Especially since people tend to stay up later, and thus we could have more of a chance of contribution from not only our US-American players but, also our European players.

For a project this, you have to look at more than just yourself. Granted, you did come up with the idea and thus you get some leeway because of that. But, you also have to look at the bigger picture and that is for the majority of people, the weekend would be much more preferable. How would you expect to report for a radio show without a microphone? Whether it's live, pre-recorded, whatever, there still has to be voice - it's radio.

Just offering an alternative: you could create an IRC channel, give voice to your broadcasters, and then have each of them do their pieces. It wouldn't be exactly like a radio, but it'd be less technological hassle for your broadcasters and more accessible by others.

That would kind of defeat the purpose. If someone isn't available to be on IRC at the right time, they would have to read the "broadcast" on logs posted somewhere on this forum - and of course that doesn't fit the idea.

That, however, would be somewhat true of an audio broadcast, wouldn't it? Once again, just making a suggestion, but if this is going to get going it's best to have maximum amount and ease of accessibility.
