International Gymnastics Competition

Postby Vulshain » Wed Dec 29, 2010 7:57 pm

The Confederacy of Vulshain is hosting an international gymnastics competition. This will be Vulshain's first time hosting an event, but it is doing so in order to promote friendship between nations as well as establish relationships between Vulshain and different nations of the world. Any nation interested should send a document showing their gymnastics team to the Ministry for Sports, Tourism, and Youth. His Majesty, King Samuil Rainard welcomes all of the teams who enter.

OOC: Okay this is my first time hosting a sporting event, so bear with me. This is how it is going to work. There wil several events:

- Artistic Individual

- Artistic Team

- Men's Trampoline

- Rhythmic Individual

- Rhythmic Team

- Women's Trampoline

Now you can use the same people for several different events. Say for example, Country A1 wants to use Jane Doe to take part in all of them. Then, Country A1 can do so.

Now, the artistic individual and artistic team events will have four apparatuses (for women) and six apparatuses (for men). The other events will have a qualifying round and then a final round. I hope to see many of you here! Oh and I almost forgot (yeah, I'm on an excellent start  ), you must list your players skills between 1 and 0.

I will be using xkoranate to score the results.

Can I point out that in men's artistic gymnastics, there are six apparatuses, not four?

OOC: Sorry about that. It will be scorinated by xkoranate. Also, I'll change that to six apparatuses.

I do believe Xhornorate allows for 1's... you just need at least 1 other athlete with a set of zero to balance it out.

Vulshain: I'm willing to give you a shot here.... looks to be thought out well.

However, you need to make it known what your limitations are on the number of athletes per event before anyone can actually signup, though. And throwing in a notation about how you will figure RP bonus would be good too.

OOC: Hmmm....I'm not sure how to do the RP bonus to be honest. And the number of athletes, here's how it will be

Rhythmic Team: 5 athletes

Women's Trampoline: 1 athlete

Men's Trampoline: 1 athlete

Rhythmic Individual: 1 athlete

Artistic Individual: 1 athlete

Artistic Team: 5

Like I said earlier, you can have an athlete take part in multiple events. I'll probably come up with something to do about the RP bonus while at work today.

You do realise there are athletes who might specialise in certain events, right? It seems a bit weird you'd have a limit of one athlete taking part in individual artistic gymnastics when there's four/six different events in that discipline.

OOC: Okay, while at work, I looked up some stuff on gymnastics events in real life. This is how it will work (and if I'm wrong, feel free to correct me):

Each nation can submit up to 12 gymnasts.
