Introduction:Welcome. I know I am new but I have had experience ( I helped my younger brother). I have been signing up for tournaments I have interest in and I have read the Guidelines thoroughly and i have looked through old tournaments.
Elastic Ball Elastic Ball is a sport of my creation. It is sort of like Rugby, except instead of a ball, teams fling a elastic band to each other. The field has a American Football layout, except it is 60 yards. At the start of a game, one team flings the elastic band to the receiving team (the same as in American football.) In play, players pass the elastic around to each-other in a non interrupted fashion (like soccer) trying to pass it or run it into the end zone for 7 points. The other option is the throw the ball through a 20 foot hop at the end of the end zone for 3 points. The main difference is That if a player is tackled, it is a turnover. The player can take a kneel and go onto the ground voluntarily. The play resumes with a restart. A restart (with happens after a player is tackled or takes a Kneel) is a American football set-up.
There are 3 kinds of positions:
DF: A Defensive Fling hangs back and protects the end zone. They also often fling the ball far down the field looking for a FR. They are like Quarterback/ Defenders.
C: A Centre plays around the Centre, passing it around and getting it to the FRs. They are like mid fielders. They have to bee the best passers so they can fling the elastic through traffic to a fellow C or a FR.
FR: The players who stay up field and look for passes. The are kind of like Wide Receivers in football. They are the best catchers.
