Ipsola Olympics(Under Construction) (I need help)

OOC:I have never RPed sport before so can someone please help me along
IC:Ipsola has been chosen to host the 2010/2011 Summer and Winter Olympic Games. We are hosting it at the Ipsola Sports Center in Ipsola Central District.
No I did not spell jail wrong, "gaol" is the Australian spelling

I would also point you to The Archregimancy's response to the OTHER Olympic Thread.

And an FYI, there is an officially sanctioned NS Olympics (both Winter and Summer) which is a major undertaking. This is not to say that your nation couldn't hold it's own Olympic-style event, just that there is a much larger one which goes on.

I would also point you to the RP Guide Sticky for some "101" information and a look at the OOC: Scorination Thread for information on all sorts of scorinators (you'll have to search through them). The most widely used Olympic scorinator is xkoranate which was developed by Commerce Heights and can be accessed in their signature, yes it is free (they are all free).

Welcome to the NS Sports community, Kalasparata!

I do have some tips for you.

1) In the NS Sports forum, the roleplaying is mainly freeform, but has at its core the concept of score generation, or scorination for short. Any new tournament should have clear guidelines on how scores and results will be generated.

2) If you are not sure what to do with regards to RPing and want some help, the best place to start is the Guide to Sports Roleplaying. If you want to ask some specific questions, I would suggest that you ask them in this thread.

3) The NS Olympic Movement is a long-standing organisation, which has held five Summer Games and five Winter Games under the Olympic name. Though we have no problems with a competing multi-sport event, on behalf of the NSOC, I would kindly request that you not use the word "Olympic" in the title, to avoid confusion with the longer-standing competition. A list of sports and events in the OP would also be useful.

I don't think there are any online scorinators in existence at the moment. Excel-based programs, as well as Java-based ones, do exist, but need to be downloaded.
