More or less. Though note that we do also have threads where nations do just announce their own internal sporting events - they just tend to follow the conventions of NS Sport rather than consisting of extremely violent stadium cannibalism.

Also note that it's not considered good form to contest a mod decision by starting up an entirely new thread addressed solely to the mod.

If you disagree with a mod decision, you are always welcome to file a getting help request; though questions about why a thread has been locked can also be posted in the Moderation forum.
