Yep, I added your RP bonus. Obviously I can't do anything but give you what the scorinator spews out, but if you feel like I'm untrustworthy or whatever - I can show you or Osarius or someone else in the NSCF who you feel you would trust the scorinator file and then you can make your own judgements, but there you go..

They did anyway. Doesn't make sense to put you higher than a team that beat you in the past month, when you have the same record and almost the same point differential... not to me anyway. Thats why Touffer were above Utica :P but if the IC rankings give you RP material, its all good!

Also, I was as surprised as anyone when I saw the results. Maybe I maxed out RP bonus over the past two matchdays, I dunno man. *shrug* Maybe you'll pimpsmack us at Walker Field?

Haha, I have been using the IC rankings as RP material. My biased as hell sports reporters always talk about Utica and how they prefer Darmen's rankings! :p

Nah, I was joking about those rankings, I worded it badly, I really meant about the dropping 2 places after another good defensive effort! You better not move us down again though, after another shutout, the reporters might just explode!

No worries. I've tried to keep them neutral but there is obviously gonna be some bias, but I figure that will only fuel RP in many cases so its not a big deal. Though if you like, you can write an IC email to OSN criticising them, and I'll have them respond ICly :P

Haha, feel free to be biased, it shall only help RPs, I think the point of the OSN is to support Utica! Just like the Frbiba Sports Daily exists only to criticise Jagoza and Utica! Just look at my Baptism of Iron RPs! (Before I got banned again and couldn't RP for the rest of the tournament!)

I think it's time for a little changeup with Colden University. I'm sick of RPing in the form of a newspaper replay of the game, I think I might mimmic some of the ideas you guys have had with interviews, tv shows, and things of that sort. Just thought I'd let you know in case any of you read my RP's!

On a side note... it sure does feel good to start 4-0! Thanks Margaret!

OK, the updated standings sheet is up, but I noticed something when I was working on it... which might not add up for some of you.

When settling three-way ties, the sheet will try to settle it on wins against tied teams first. If all teams have won once, regardless of games played, the sheet will then take overall point differential from games against tied teams and rank by that. So that means Scott City ARE in fact ranked below Tim City on point differential from games between them, Scott City and Saugeais State University.

Of course, if there is a different method for breaking that particular tie... let me know. It seems logical in my head, but the output is weird, you know?

This especially goes out to Mytannion, but I'm changing up my RP style now to be able to get both Frbiba State and Jagoza RP bonuses in one hit. So, I'm gonna have a 'blog' like thing where a renowned commentator will report things and then have some comments about stuff from users, talk about the game, et cetera et cetera. Thanks

Hey Mytannion, you have a hardcore glitch in your standings right now tbh :P

UArk has a better point difference and a better head-to-head record against Touffer, and yet Touffer is 4-1 and second and UArk is 4-1 and third…?

It counts results between all tied teams, and H2H point differential comes before overall point differential... so that loss at Utica shafts the Wyverns.

In games between the tied teams...

Utica: 1-1, +38 PD (51-10 vs UArk, 24-27 vs Touffer)
Touffer: 1-1, 0 PD (17-20 vs UArk, 27-24 vs Utica)
UArk: 1-1, -38 PD (20-17 vs Touffer, 10-51 vs Utica)

...thats the same way I set up the standings spreadsheet. Same thing crossed my mind though, thats why I posted about it before. Just seemed weird.
Same thing happened in my conference. Bugny lost their last game and are now 4th despite having one of the best point differentials in the league.

I remember last season when I scorinated that SJIU had a positive point differential for AGES in spite of ending the season with just 3 wins I think it was.

Yeah it is a bit confusing first time around because there's so many schools involved. But the controlling nation is listed next to the school in the first post of the RP/Roster thread, and schedules (by conference) are in the next one. So when you go to check your next opponent, you can see their roster and who controls them, all in one go. And for now you only need to know seven schools plus your own.

Also, Colden and Port Salem are the only two undefeated teams left... I like how they have completely different IC views regarding the rankings too, haha.

Haha I'm having fun with the radio show thing. I'm trying to have one guy basically be a huge Colden-homer and the other be more level headed. I just wish I wasn't so busy with everthing! I have a bunch more that I want to put in there, but I've been crunched for time lately. On a side note, I'm kind of surprised Port Salem and Colden are the only teams undefeated teams left. It looks like we just have the least depth in our conferences in comparison to the other conferences. Whoever can survive the Woodlands Conference deserves the Purple Heart award!

Well, the standings are up... I decided to provide more discussion material this week. I took the average rank of a team in each conference and ranked the conferences by strength. Deliberately used a flawed method, I'm just hoping it gives people RP material, since I had no RP at all in my conference this past matchday. And I think only one the matchday before >_>

Power Rankings to follow as soon as I find time -- I'm sorting my domestic football league at the moment -- but should be up before thursday's games. Gonna be a lot of changes, I think...

and yes, I like it haha. It's cool when RPs interweave and stuff. Makes it worthwhile doing the rankings at all, imo. I'll probably throw together an all-NSCF team at the end of the season if this keeps up and I think I have enough material. Anyone else can feel free to do their own too (all-NSCF teams or power rankings that is). The OSN Power Rankings are unofficial so its whatever. The official rankings are on the first page of the roster thread. :)

I tried an interview thing as well. Mytannion wrote a good match report, but nobody wants to read the same thing twice, so I did an interview style this time. Changing things up (:

Colden and Port Salem survive another week! On a side note, I'm amazed at the RP-level (or lack-there-of) from the Big Eight Conference. I know haven't been very frequent on the boards aside from NSCF, but I do know nations like Mangolana, Saugeais, and Darmen are pretty much regulars around here. I'm surprised that none of them have really participated much yet.

The good news is that I had my last test of the week this morning, and I don't have much going on between now and our game on Saturday, so I should be able to come up with a pretty decent Bearcats Athletics Radio Show for this week. I'm looking on involving as many nations/teams/players as possible, so keep any eye out for the Bearcat faitful to mention your school!

I haven't even figured out which universities are associated with which nations, and which conferences contain which teams

Thats why I chose the name "Academy of Space" for my university, so everyone would know where it is and who was responsible for it :)
