I might go after Kaleb Freid, only because Ranoria used a pic of a local to me college team. :P

Oh really? I use kinda type in the search engine and use what looks good lol. He’d be the only one I’ve gotten a claim at tho.

EDIT:

Two 10-3 schools, think that’s the best I’ve done in this so far. Hopefully it pans out later. But geez, these Richardson-Loyola games have all been within 5 or fewer points. Insane.

After a few hours of hard manual labor, the NSCF 19 Spreadsheet is fully updated for the season and ready for the playoffs.

The important sheets you'll want to look at right now are Seeding (ranks teams by OSPI strength for the playoffs and lists their main resume points) and Playoff Bracket (takes the seedings and plugs them into postseason match-ups). There are also other tabs that dive further into performance metrics for our sports analytics nerds.

Y'all actually have until Thursday afternoon to bid on Banijan recruits, rather than yesterday... My matchday RP for Loyola v. Richardson is taking a little longer than I thought it would.

Best of luck!

Wow! That was a bear! That’s it for the QBs. I had intended to go a little more into detail, and had about 4 more RPs planned for them, but due to how busy I’ve been these past few weeks, I wasn’t able to do that. I do have something planned for whatever the last game is for Richardson, championship or no, but as for now, that’ll be the end of the storyline. I hope it brought it to full circle, and thank you to everyone who read them and for those of you who shot me deedback along the way.

I just wanted to say good luck to the final 8. In my personal opinion, a Richardson--NMU final would be an RP extravaganza.

It's been another good time. Thanks to Cosumar and to the scorinators of the leagues. See ya next time, and you can bet your last money, it'll be a stone gas, honey. 8)

Only problem with that is getting people to sign up. Plus a 20 game regular season. That’d be a tough one.

No it would just mean a single round-robin format instead of double, but yeah unless we up it to three teams and allow puppets, I don't see us getting numbers.

I'd like to also like to see non-conference games happen first like with real college football, but that would turn into a logistical nightmare.

Sorry about getting that one up so late and a lack of images in the first. my internet has been terribly spotty

But good for thought: How would you guys feel about brininging in an All-NSCF Team, sort of like an all pro or all American squad?

Maybe just a first team, maybe two. But I think that it would be a cool thing, and would help everyone be more familiar with everyone else’s RPs, as we’d all be keeping up with everyone’s players to determine who would make that team.

That's kind of what the purpose of nominating/voting for the NSCF Awards currently is. I'm open to adding onto this, but we sometimes have a hard time getting ideal participation just for those few categories, let alone selecting an entire squad.

That said, it's certainly something that should exist ICly.

In the past, we've had users create their own All-NSCF teams (as selected/polled by a publication from their nation). You're free to use this as an RP idea if you so desire.

That makes sense. I remember you mentioning that it was tough to get enough votes. I’ll probably do the RP though.

But, alternatively, we could assign someone to do the All-NSCF squad next season and beyond, (cuz I figure you might want to do a vote for that), which I’m totally willing to do. I’m enough of a football fanatic to write em all up and send em to ya to post with the awards.

Speaking of those: I’ve got write ups for a few probable frontrunners for the NSCF Awards. Anyone who has a player that they’d like me to add in there, shoot me a TG and I’ll take a look if I haven’t already.

These award write-ups have been much-appreciated for the last few editions! I'll try to point you in the right direction as far as RCU/Stoneshore players soon, but I think you already have a good grasp on my squads based on your RP today ;)

Also...

Something like a Pro Bowl? it could work but we will need another conference and with that conference divided it on 4 the best of big eight, woolands, horizon and mineral conference vs the best of celestia, zephyr and the new conference each team could nominee 2 or 3 players and make some kind of draw with the committee in charge after the draw is made those player who won draw will be on the pro bowl team is an idea :)

More like an All-American/All-Pro. I like our current seeding system, and introducing conferences that encompassed half of he competition would really mess with things a lot. My idea was more to have one person do it, or maybe two, but it’s tough to get committee votes even for the current awards, like Cos was saying.

IIRC Buffalostan did that in season 2, and I wanna say Myt did it at some point too.

It's generally received pretty well, though I don't think anyone ever tried to get votes for a consensus. They just picked the teams themselves, in the guise of their national media or whatever.

I think it's a cool idea, personally. I'd even encourage multiple people to RP their own versions.

We have a new champion

Congratulations to the winner and commiserations to the team that fell just short.

Thank you to everyone who participated this season, especially our two amazing finalists and all the conference scorinators who pitched in their time three nights per week.

well, had I known I would be so accurate in my prediction, I might've placed a wager.

I don't think anyone this season can begrudge these 2 for getting to the championship. The fact they both did amazing writing for two different teams makes me feel like I just might go back to one team next time; I just didn't have the inspiration for in-depth stuff, and feel like I coasted a little bit.

I guess this means that Commonwealth must be the 3rd best team, since we beat both of them. :p

It is now time to telegram your nominations for the NSCF 19 Awards to NSCF (all participants allowed).

Most Outstanding Player of the Year

Offensive Player of the Year

Defensive Player of the Year

Special Teams Player of the Year

Coach of the Year

Links to rosters can be found in the OP of the main thread. After a few days of accepting nominations, the NSCF Committee will vote on the winners. You may nominate your own players that you feel are worthy, or others that stood out to you from the season's RPs.

There is one other matter to address.

As many of you will recall, I was forced to step back in as NSCF Commissioner this season due to the unexpected disappearance of newly-elected Yesopalitha. While I am willing to continue on in the role if needed, my plan - as it was last cycle - is to step aside and give someone else a chance since I have served as Commissioner since NSCF 13.

If you are interested in taking up the role of NSCF Commissioner and all the duties that it entails, please say so here.
