I'll update the procedural list with the amendments shortly. I guess I should add something to log voting results/history somewhere too

I imagine, at this point, closer to the start of the RL college football season? There'd be no point in starting signups now, to get this going in July, when peak interest would likely be right when the RL season.

I'm not Chrom, obviously, but my guess would be July signups for an August kickoff?

If we're going to do a back to back cycle of NSWC, I wouldn't object to pushing back CF until later in the summer. But thanks to Ran bringing this thread back up, I did start messing around with my domestic college season earlier tonight.

Historically, I think we've had a season starting roughly every 4-6 months (NSCF 1 was Sept 2010) and I distinctly remember trying to time signups for peak interest, so July/August would fit the established routine it seems.

It's basically all up to the commish, though. There's no rule on this, so it's up their discretion.

I have been rather occupied with familial visits for the last month or so, and have just now caught up with the thread.

I think I'll open signups around the last week of June and shoot for a late July/early August start so that by the end of the season, college football will be in full swing.

Please feel free to send all inquiries about the NSCF by TG to Chromatika, as that is my main nation.

Seems like I'm going to retire Quebec from NSCF. With RL expected to be lot busier school-wise, I don't know if I'll be able to commit to RPing for this competition.

For those who wonder what happened to the Quebecois teams, let's just say that the increased risk of injuries with running NSCF as quadrennial spring season for Quebecois schools has been raised, causing all 3 institutions and Quebecois Intercollegiate Sports to withdraw from NSCF effective at the end of last NSCF season. While Quebecois prospects are allowed to play for schools abroad, there will be no Quebecois institution in NSCF from this point.

Good luck to all.

I'll be the first to say best of luck in the future. Never had a chance to square off against you in any of the various sports, but I know you have been a solid presence here for a long time. (I actually worked a tenuous Quebec reference into one of my off forum RP's the other day)

I don't know if I would've submitted 2 entries if Quebec wasn't pulling out. I debated whether UC should even come back to defend their title. But I think it'll work out OK.

Hey, this will be my first season with NSCF as I recently submitted my application. I will certainly have more questions in the near future but for my first question I would like to know if there will be a roster for each team and if so what are the details on how we go about setting up our team.

Hi there, and welcome!

Yes, participants are highly encouraged to post a roster for their team(s). We post those in the main IC thread for the competition (typically called something like "NSCF 19 Everything Thread") once it is available after sign-ups close.

You can set up your team any way you like. Check out some rosters from last season for ideas of how they might look.

Thanks for your detailed response. I will begin work ony roster and try and be ready for the season.
