Seems Konigsberg has a rebuilding year ahead on offense, as despite its relatively high ranking it is 19th in adjusted offensive output. This rebuilding effort will be centered around Quinn Iseya, the #2 recruit from Redvale, who will be taking over Daniel Prescott's job at QB as he goes into Valorem's pro football league.
I'm considering doing my own top recruit list but it's finals week (and I've already done far too much non-studying). Does anyone know when I'd have to get that done by?

Eh, it's not so much that this one was early - the first two were just a little late :/

I am partially at fault for not being clearer about the time though. So I went ahead and included your bonus. You're in luck - I saw your RP just before I generated scores.

Phew :p

If you want it to count for RP bonus, then before whenever Konigsberg's last game is.

If not, you could conceivably post a list of recruits here on the discussion thread anytime before NSCF 16.

Oddly enough, the one game where I forgot to publish an RP (thanks to binging on Starcraft 2 campaigns) is the one nonconference game I manage to win.

Not necessarily. It didn't pay off for this game, but that extra bonus by your name now could make a difference in the playoffs.

5-8 and I didn't go 0-3 in non-conf. Considering I bagged the season halfway through I'm satisfied with that.

From the OP:
In addition to the playoffs, there also a few consolation bowl games for teams that do not reach the postseason. If your nation proposes a bowl game to host, you are responsible for inviting the teams yourself.

Wow. That was a crazy last day of non conference games. I'm probably going to RP the Vietussia game as one that was decided at the last second, but this time one of those games finally went in favor of the Friars. Castle also managed to play spoiler in overtime, which is cool because winning games they shouldn't is part of their team identity.

In recent seasons, there hasn't been any need for bowl organizers to "invite" teams because they've all been proposed as automatic berths. Best defense, highest OSPI, etc. Those match-ups set themselves, so it has been easy for me to put those together myself. That statement in the OP is more for when a bowl doesn't use that type of criteria. Sometimes the organizer wants to wait until the end of the season to create a custom match-up.

It's fine that Frenline sent invitation TGs, but Iqaluit/Saguenay would've been set for the game anyways unless they explicitly opted out.

Bowl Proposal: The Reiner Bowl
Sponsored by: Reiner Material Sciences Laboratory
Candidates: The two teams with the highest strength-of-schedule that are not in the playoffs or a better bowl.
Stadium: Hobbs Stadium, capacity 89,500. Located in the Valorem-Meritus Urban District, Valorem's capital and center of tourism. The Urban District has the nation's best public transit system and is the most well-equipped city to handle gameday traffic. Hobbs Stadium is home to the Meritus Eagles, one of Valorem's professional football teams.
Reiner's sports division is interested in hosting an NSCF bowl to advertise its football equipment to other countries in the NSCF. This bowl honors the teams that dealt with the most adversity in the league by selecting based on strength of schedule.

I'm not sure how scorination works - does the hosting country scorinate the game or is that done by the NSCF commissioner?

That's if the seeding stays the same and the teams are ranked by OPSI, since the voting hasn't happened yet. Hopefully Castle will get voted lower, which would actually be a better matchup for me.

It's generally the Commissioner or a prior host from the season that the Commissioner selects. You wouldn't have to worry about scorination.

Cosumar wrote:Sometimes the organizer wants to wait until the end of the season to create a custom match-up.

I suppose it makes sense but I just want to make sure.

Castle has not made the playoffs yet! Ignore the bracket tab until the NSCF Committee votes and announces the two at-large bids (only the conference champions and Utica are in right now). One of which could be Castle, but it could also be Konigsberg or a number of other schools.

I'll add your bowl if possible when I am setting the match-ups, but it doesn't look like there will be enough bowl-eligible teams to support a fifth bowl game this season. Sorry!

Pretty much! Like real life bowl games, you'd invite whichever teams you want at the end of the season.

Of course, that makes things more complicated if a team gets invited to or qualifies for multiple bowl games...
