Players up for awards:
Obviously you guys can vote for guys not here, but these are players that stood out to me throughout the course of the season.
OPOY/MVP

Loyola-Istria: Isaka Jawara
Jawara is one of the best players in NSCF history, and averaged over a whopping 50 points a game at home this season. The electric talent at quarterback played his final season at Istria, and, as always, was the backbone of his football team.

Lead Loyola to a 3 game stretch to open the season in which they averaged 48.75 points per game, opening the year with an absurd, basketball esque 72 points in week 1

Averaged 46 points per game through week 8

Put up 33 points to bring down domestic rival Northern Moravica in week 7, a team that had only allowed 58 points through week 6

Led highest scoring offense in NSCF for third year running.

Led his squad to a semifinal berth in his last game as part of the Blue Thunder outfit.

DAU: QB Austin Willis:
-Willis’s season was characterized by its ups and downs, but the quarterback produced some absolutely incredible yardage totals once in awhile and was a big-armed gunslinger all season long.

Regular Season Stats as of week 9: 262/467, 3,174, 22 TD, 10 INT, 4 rush, 5 yards
Season highlights:
Week 5: 41 of 68, 5 touchdown passes, one interception.

Week 2: 41/68 497 yrds 2tds 2ints

Injured in week 3 after going 12/30

Dominant week 6 outing in which he looked unstoppable. Willis went 52/68 for 592yrds, and 7tds in that game. He threw a trio of picks as well, but with that offensive production, as well as a 57-13 win, no one was complaining

Week 9: passed for 401 yards in a touchdown in a 29-20 win over domestic rival XPI

Cold Hill: QB Thorn Davis
Season Highlights:
Opened season with a 33/45 performance with 422 passing yards and five touchdowns, showing his improvement as a passer since last season, along with 9 carries for 60 yards and a score

Swept domestic rival Richardson in conference play, including a walkoff, game winning touchdown pass and, earlier, a 40 yard rushing score, in the first matchup and a 3 passing TD performance in the second

1,200 yards and 11 touchdown passes through the first four games

Finished season with over 4,000 passing yards, and had 31 passing touchdowns, 7 rushing, and over 600 rushing yards on the year.

WR Teo Redding, Commonwealth of Baker Park

-Redding provided an engine for the Warriors’ vaunted offensive attack as a number one wideout and a dynamic open field runner. He was used as a weapon both in the passing game and as a deadly rusher throughout the season.

26 Yard TD score on the opening game of he season

Helped ice the game against Northern Moravica with a 44 yard end around touchdown run that gave his squad a 2 score lead.

7 receptions on just 10 targets for 139 yards and a pair of scores in a losing effort against Cold Hill in the first round of the playoffs, catching multiple passes, and a touchdown, on Clarence von Arris, regarded as one of the best defensive backs in Ranoria.

DPOY:

Tecumseh: Darren McFadden: DE
McFadden was one of the best players in the NSCF, and was the best player, arguably, on an impressive Tecumseh squad that was a first year participant.

Season total as of week 9: 77 tackles, 33 TFL, 13 sacks, 4 FF, 2 FR, 1 safety

Opened year with 12 tackle, 5 TFL, 2 sack performance

Had a 13 tackle, 5 TFL outing in a loss against Cold Hill in week 4

Racked up 9 tackles, 5 for a loss, 3 sacks, two forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery in a 60-3 win vs New Telford State in week 5

Logged 13 tackles, 6 TFL, 3 sacks against People’s Isle University to put together and incredible performance in week 6, also forcing 2 fumbles, one of which he recovered. Reached 10 sacks on the year

Another dominant outing against TN Uni in week 7, where he had 12 tackles, 4 for a loss, 3 sacks, and a safety

Richardson: Judas Wolfson, SS

Wolfson was a monster all season long, forcing 10 turnovers and offering not only a balljawking safety, but a hammer to anyone who dared catch a ball in the middle of the field, as well as an extra defender in the box when necessary.

Season stats: 101 tackles, 8 TFL, 6 sacks, 10 PD, 8 INT, 3 FF, 2 FR

Highlights:
Contributed 3 goal line tackles against TN State in a tight win

1 INT, 1 FF against Tecumseh in a dominant win

Goal line tackle, forced fumble, fumble recovery, and an interception in a tight win over New Telford State

Dominated against Loyola Istria in the Rebel’s Cannon Bowl, helping to hold the Jawara/led, record setting offense to just 17 points, and had a game-saving goal line tackle on the final play, in a win that gave his squad the momentum for a championship run.

STPOY:

Joshua Jolly, KR, Tecumseh:

97 yard kick return TD in week 6
8 KR, 154 kick return yards in week 5

Ensa Gassama, K, Loyola-Istria

Hit 3 field goals in quarterfinals win over Akers State in a 23-17 win

Hit a 47 yard game winning field goal to win in week 7 against domestic rivals Northern Moravica

Coach of the year:

Richard Steinheil
Led Richardson to a strong season after missing the playoffs last season and dropping their first playoff game against Ranorian competition, all while wading through a three-way quarterback controversy.

The team finished 10-3 in the regular season, and then stormed their way through the playoffs, defeating Ramusok Capital, whom had knocked them off multiple times, as well as Cold Hill University, their own rivals. The Buffalo had not only won the domestic championship in Ranoria, but had swept Richardson in conference play. The 20-10 victory sent them into their first championship berth.

Lance Kabuye
Kabuye stepped in as Northern Moravica’s Head Coach after their former, and very respected, coach Horace Browning stepped down. Kabuye immediately changed the fate of this football team.

Leading them to yet another conference championship, Kabuye secured a playoff berth, as Browning had many times, but once the out of conference games hit, his team slumped. It looked just like the Browning days, when the team would dominate in conference play before teetering off.

As we all know, that’s not what happened. Kabuye led his team to trounce Northern Moravica’s arch rivals in the semifinals of the playoffs, which on its own would have been by far the deepest one of this school’s teams had made it. This, itself, was an improvement over Browning’s playoff resume, when he lost to Istria in the playoffs last year. This ended a 35 game undefeated stretch at home for Loyola-Istria. And, of course, Kabuye knocked off the Richardson University Governors 24-20 to earn an NSCF Championship for his football team.
Fan of football, the Murican kind. But soccer is cool too! Just not really my thing. C(:^D/-<
I go by Ran. Unless, of course, you want to type out Ranoria. That's your decision.

For next season, CCIA will be returning as Velestria is the successor-state of Razenthuria which was the successor-state of Kebec. Of course there was probably a 2-3 season hiatus which translates to 6 years so former coaching staffs are no longer with the team for any future references.

Hello everyone! I would like to deeply apologize for my unexplained and long absence. Life threw a curve ball my way and was stuck battling it during my time away. I was having a great season with newcomer Tecumseh University and my conference rivals and everyone in NSCF 19. It was unfortunate I wasn't able to make a run for the championship. I do want to say that I will be back for NSCF 20 and am looking forward to getting back in contact with you all. Any questions or just want to chat, shoot me a telegram.

Thank you for the award nominations and thank you for the award of coach of the year to Philip McCreary.

Simply fill out the box for both schools when NSCF 20 sign-ups go up in a couple months.

We have a unanimous 5-0 majority in the NSCF Committee. The Royal Kingdom of Quebec shall henceforth take over as Commissioner and the duties that it entails.

I'll update the rankings for post-NSCF 19, but after that, I'll hand over control of this account and it will be up to him to set us up for NSCF 20.

Congratulations, Queb! Third time's a charm, eh? ;)

Thank you guys! Thank you.

The first time, I lost to a very deserved candidate whose part in the resurgence of NSCF is to be heavily praised. Thank you for a wonderful run as NSCF commissioner, Cosumar. Second time was much more unfortunate. But then, circumstances have crept up and this time, it's my turn. Life works funnily enough in many ways, I guess.

That said, I am excited to take over. Due to my coursework, I will be unavailable to do anything major with NSCF until December 10. Afterwards, we'll see how it goes moving forward. Given the level of interest we have received in NSCF the past few cycles, I think it wouldn't be a bad idea to run it more frequently; perhaps we could open the signups when the next WC group stage kicks in so that the NSCF is ready to run as soon as we're done with WC83. What are y'all thoughts on the matter?

I appreciate those words, Queb, it means a lot to me. A great many hours have gone into trying to make NSCF run smoothly and professionally over the years. Thanks for taking them off my hands, finally :p

As for the second part, I'd be on board with accelerating the tournament cycle a bit. There's definitely been enough interest to warrant it. Immediately after the next World Cup sounds like ideal timing from this vantage point.

What are y'all thoughts on the matter?

congrats to Quebec and a huge thanks to Cosumar for filling in under unfortunate circumstances, but still top shelf organizing.
Maybe I'm mistaken, but since we had two WC cycles fairly close together, shouldn't we expect that the next one will not be nearly as soon?
But the general idea of getting ready to go live at the end of the next WC is a good one.

Congrats Queb. I'm glad you guys have largely managed without my input for a while now, the community is in great hands, and it doesn't look like that's gonna change any time soon.

As usual, I'll be around to lend a hand with the admin stuff (spreadsheets and rule updates) even if I don't enter or actively get involved in scorination etc. You know where to find me.

I would expect the WCQ to be scheduled so that it would not conflict with Olympics. So my predictions would make it around Early-Mid February for NSCF signups to open.....it might get tricky given how busy I'll be with my dissertation, but at some point there will also be a reading week so lesser pain than expected? Who knows.

My scheduling this year has been up in the air for most part, due to the unpredictable nature of dissertation writing more than my classes. I'll get back to you guys at a later date.

That would be much appreciated, especially as I'll be dealing with time constraints for at least 2 out of 3 NSCFs. I expect this to be a particular issue around February and November.

June/July should be favourable, aside from a couple of 2-3 day periods where I'll be a) having my convocation b) flying to Korea.

I will leave it up to the RPer's imagination.

That said, don't expect me to be taking that route for my RPs this NSCF. I've already planned out what I'll be RPing about :p
