In response to the crisis with the format, one option could be that signups are opened for 24 more hours, or until one more person joins. After those 24 hours, then Sarzonia could add a puppet. I obviously have no problem with adding a puppet, but if we can get one more person that would contribute well to the tournament, that'd be a good thing, right?

And I just got a TG from Churchma saying he'd be fine with not being in the tournament, citing RL and another tournament he's going to be heavily involved with.

I'd still feel more comfortable with following Del's-Mytannion's-Cosumar's suggestion.

Sign ups will be re-opened for 24 more hours. If no other nations sign up, I'll throw in a puppet to make 18 and re-do the group draw.

Sounds good to me guys. I'm just trying to help resolve this confusion as smoothly as possible haha. Whatever happens is fine. But I don't want a bunch of people waiting on me. So for some reason, if we don't get an 18th team, we'll just say my team didn't signup and then you guys can go ahead without me with the original 16 that Sarzonia had up. If we do get 18, then I'll stay in.

I added Rymeria to the NS Arena Bowl and redrew the groups to three groups of six teams each.

There will also be a day off on 25 November for Thanksgiving AND a day off at the end of the group stage.

I even RP'd an IC excuse for the fuck up.

As you probably know, I'm new to this. We now a little worried about the level of commitment needed for the RP. My impression was that simply the games would proceed with scores posted, but it seems that we have to micromanage the actions of our players as well.

I appreciate the fact that you brought up your concerns on this thread.

Roleplay is not a requirement to take part in a tournament such as this one, but it can certainly improve your team's chances of success. As far as roleplaying in a tournament such as this one is concerned, you don't have to micromanage your team's players' every move.

You can do something like a profile of a specific player, take the perspective of a fan watching a game or even something that has little to do with the match itself. As long as there's some mention of a match (be it a result or whom you're playing next), you're fine.

If you want, you can create storylines with your players and/or with players from other countries. Those can do very well.

I am disappointed that I never got to RP for NS Arena Bowl III like I wanted. Unfortunately, I was out of town and without access to a computer for almost the entire tournament. I am pleased to see I'm in the championship however, for the second time. I will try my best to get some sort of RP in ~~tomorrow~~ before cutoff in two days. Again, apologies for being unable to fulfill my pledge to RP more.

There was some discussion in the Maple Leaf Bowl thread about having the MLB and Arena Bowl alternate in the off-periods of the World Bowl (ie World Bowl-Maple Leaf Bowl-World Bowl-Arena Bowl). That being said, is there any interest in a renewed Arena Bowl? I would throw down a bid, and by that point I'll have at least a little bit of gridiron experience, having cut my teeth on the gridiron component of the Esportivan Autumn Festival.

I've been intending to send a TG to Sarzonia and Shadowbourne about this, but I kept forgetting about it. I'm definitely in favor of alternating the Arena Bowl and Maple Leaf Bowl.

This sounds good to me. I have a modified xkoranate file for Arena football if anyone needs it.
