Basketball interest

Postby The House of Castile » Sat Jul 31, 2010 11:12 am

Being new to NS Sports I'm wondering if there is any interest in creating a basketball league.

Definitely would be interested, but we'd need someone with a scorinator to step forward and run the league.

I don't even know why you just called me out? But if our teams do play each other some day you can count on us being prepared.

Dancougar used to run the International Basketball championships. He even had some whiz-bang scorinator, but alas he's disappeared.

I think you can still download his scorinator, which is called Basketsim. I don't think it works with Macs, unfortunately. Or it requires you to download something I'm loath to considering my computer is nearly seven years old.

I have a fairly basic Excel scorinator that I once used for basketball. In fact, Pacitalia and I once ran a Basketball World Cup with it.

The International Basketball Championships is NS Sports' premier basketball competition. Five successful versions have been completed. There has not yet been a number six since Dancougar left. He ran all of them with his basketsim scorinator. We've also had two college basketball tournaments, one run by Newmanistan and the other by Qazox. Newmanistan, from my understanding, is only doing the World Baseball Classic now. Qazox is probably the only option at this point but he would be under absolutely no obligation to do anything. However, even if you had all this, with the World Cup beginning yesterday, the World Bowl beginning tomorrow, and the World Baseball Classic maybe only two weeks away, the time for IBC 6 would not be right now regardless.
WINNER of the 1st International Basketball Championships, 7th Di Bradini Cup, & the 4th World Lacrosse Championships!
RUNNERUP in Baptism of Fire 30 and World Baseball Classic 10.
HOST of World Bowl 6, International Basketball Championships 6, and Baptism of Iron 6. (Hosting a 6th version of something? Call us.) Also, World Baseball Classic 12 and World Lacrosse Championships 3.
Qualified for World Cups 49-52.

All arrogant, stuck-up, conceded or whatever comments I make in roleplay are always in-character and should not be interpreted as also being the out-of-character attitude of the person controlling the nation. My nation is my attempt to mock people I have to deal with often at work.
